I sent in an application for this, it took them a week to respond after two emails. The lady who called me said that I had to pay a $42 dollar fee in order to "continue" the application process due to not having lived in Pinellas County for two years. While I understand the need for background checks, all they would have to do is look at my job resume to see that I've worked for multiple state and city governments and had all kinds of background checks done over the past few years. My issue here is she refused to move forward until I paid this fee (which by the way their website says there are no deposits or fees required so this is a complete lie). So I have to pay a fee for something I don't even know is going to be worthwile to me. This sounds like a straight up scam to me to demand money from me before anything else. BEWARE!
