The sunset on top of the dam was really pretty and the park was nice. The bathrooms were dirty and the parking was rather limited. If you go there look out for snakes because we almost stepped on a water moccasin.

Unexpected gem near OKC. I was looking for a quiet outing for my elderly parents. A well maintained, handicap accessible trail leads to a overlook providing a fine view of the dam and lake at sunset. My father found joy in watching fishermen on the shores below and families playing near the water’s edge. Parking is limited at the trailhead but overflow is available on the nearby bike trail.

We went bike riding on the new trails for the first time. They are very nice! It just makes you wanting more. We rode the length twice. I hope they plan to connect the north side to the south side some time really soon.

Nice lake couple of spots free access Pay to stay trail even cost money to use. I found free parking and access day area.

I think it is about 25$ per day. Be prepared, they have community water hook ups, you may need as much as 400 ft. of hose to get to connection! Their version of full hook up and mine are very different!
Very busy on Memorial Day, and yes you will have to pay to get into the area with the swim beach.
Per vehicle with like a 6 person per vehicle limit.
There is a box at the trailhead asking for a few dollard (i dont remember thr exact amount but i want to say 5 dollars)
I don't think they rent boats, but I do know that they rent Kayaks. You might call to UCO Boathouse and see if they have more information.
Beaches close at sunset but as long as you have lights, to my knowledge there is no set off the lake time.
