A great hike but I have been a few times in the last couple years and there were no parking signs at the trail entrance. Be sure to look around...you may have to park a little ways up the road from the trail head! I would really like to understand why the no parking signs?? Please don't leave anything on the trail. (doggie bags! Decorated potatoes. Etc) OK OK a potatoe by it self is cute.....but plastic last forever!! IMHO.

(PARKING WARNING) Just went today for the first time in maybe a year (04/22/2022) and noticed they have blocked the old dirt lot everyone used to park at as well as place no parking signs leading up to it and a little north of it. A car was parked at the entrance with a $50 ticket. park north of the trail on the shoulder where there are no signs.

One of my favorite hikes that isn’t hard and only about 4.5 miles up and back. The views never get old and always leave a heart thankful. Did this hike in both the night and day. Super recommend

Pretty rocky, I'd say no
Sunshine to sunset. They won't let you go up if it's already close to sunset.

We did this hike with our kids on a Friday night (4, 6, and 9). There was not much shade. The last bit is pretty steep, but they all made it. I'd say it is one of the more kids friendly hikes with a summit.
Sorry no cver night parking
The parking is still below the point where an adventure pass is needed so it's not necessary.
