Really nice Mexican food! Chips and dip to start, nice margaritas and the food quality was great, and the portions were huge! The atmosphere is loud but it’s comfortable!

Is Casa Vega touristy? Yes. But that’s probably the reason why you are there so you shouldn’t be shocked at it being busy, rushed service, expensive, etc. I thought the food (while overpriced) was great! They have all the classics and any of their combo plates make a great meal. We started off with the Tostada Chiquita, which is kinda like a taco salad on a tostada? It was worth going back for by itself. The restaurants decor is classic and really makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Service was good, but a bit rushed. We never had to worry about drink refills or plates being removed. I would come back in a heartbeat!

There is a large parking lot. Free during the day. Valet parking in the evening.
Yes and no... they're open for Sunday brunch, but don't look for a buffet.
What matters is that you get it/got it back
If crowded...what ever comes up first. If you make a preference.....why would this matter?
You were probably sick before you got there... Casa Vega has been serving fresh excellent food for over 50 years now. It was probably that fried fish soup you ate before you went there, or the moldy cheese sandwich you dipped into it with. Additionally, eating a heavy meal to off set the effects of drinking too much alcohol CAN make you sick. I recommend counciling...
They are very busy with customers and cannot answer the phone
There is also a lot of local street parking, but hit or miss on availability of free spaces. Plus metered parking on ventura
No children's menu, but they offer "a la carte" selections. Menu is available for review on the web site.
I was there on Monday and the tables are so far apart - probably at least 10' if not 12'. Servers masks and face shield.. And I'm fairly sure the people actually bringing the dishes to the table were wearing gloves as well.
I really don't know....you should call and ask them.
The food is very good and the portions are large. I especially love their chicken tortilla soup
