If you are serious about stereo, this is where you want to go. Unbelievable that Stereo Unlimited has survived all these years (since 1984 I believe) at the same location--and it has for a reason. They have the best selection of the most drool-worthy stereo gear you will ever see in San Diego. Ray is extremely knowledgeable and will show and demo hi-end gear that will fit your budget. Highly recommended!

Stereo Unlimited is truly a one of a kind store for audio enthusiasts. I say this because you do not have to be an audiophile to come to this store. Bruce and Ray and all the staff are incredibly helpful and put you at ease and answer your questions. Fantastic selection of new and used audio gear and perhaps one of the best selection of Vinyl records, new and used in California. Two thumbs up and 5 Stars all around. They have listening rooms to test out different combinations of audio systems and furnishings for stereo equipment.

During Covid I had time to start thinking about my 20-30 year old stereo that I have not looked at since 2001. Got most of it working, but wanted to have Stereo Limited check out the Turntable before I used it. It had not been turned on in 20 years. They kept it overnight and came back with the right analysis that the motor and electronics were not properly working and getting my air bearing tone arm was problematic. The effort and expense was not worth fixing. They were right. Over the next 4 months (Lots of Covid time available) I worked on getting it working and for the last part of the fix I sent a portion of the TT to the manufacture (Oracle Audio). Brought the TT and old Phono Pre Amp in for the final tune up and buying/adding a cartridge to the TT. I got the full team of Bruce, Ray and Bob to make sure it was working properly. They knew the Turntable and Tone arm and how to dial it in When I started this journey I hoped that Stereo Unlimited was the place to take a esoteric 30 year old TT and I am glad I did.

Stereo Unlimited is an institution in San Diego. I went in to get a high-end stereo system for my son and I had a specific budget that was probably bigger than the average person— but still not tremendously high. I found Bruce —the owner— and all his workers to be incredibly personable. After two or three visits, you are like family! I love the atmosphere-- You walk in to a room full of McIntosh amplifiers and real vinyl albums spinning. Ever hear of Marantz? They have a ton of stuff. There are relics, little sculptures of jazz musicians, and dream "library like" showrooms that make you feel like you are back in the 1970's listening to the "good stuff." Its a huge space! Spacious.. They have a full vinyl record store which is something many of us have not seen since the 1970's or 80's. The staff will absolutely work with you! they don’t want you to make a mistake —they want you to get the best system possible which is upgradable. MUST SEE BUSINESS!

An HDMI splitter with at least 4 outputs will work. Be aware that when you have multiple displays, the HDMI source will dumb down to the signal to accommodate the lowest resolution display, ie: If you have a 4K source and 3 of the displays are 4K and one is 1080, all displays will be sent a 1080 signal.
They are the best go see them
