Definitely do not start at the trail head where this GPS gives you directions to. I believe starting at the trailhead closest to the 8 would be way better. I tried this hike today from the trailhead closest to the GPS directions from Google and it was a major fail. I only saw extremely small streams (barely) and very small pools of water (baaarely). Absolutely no shade on this trail and I would definitely not recommend it if it's 85° or higher that day. (It was brutal with no shade). With all that being said, if you're just looking for a hike with nice views, this could definitely work. However, again, for this particular starting point, I wouldn't expect too much. (Side note: I only hiked about 2 miles in and turned back because the heat was unbearable and there wasn't a legitimate body of water anywhere to be found) maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention when searching, this up, but this def wasn't it lol do not recommend starting from kitchen Creek Rd trailhead Posted 6/10/22

I don't know why more people don't come to this place. It is an easy hike on your way down and can turn into a moderate hike on your way back up. The water falls are small but awesome. I didn't have a problem finding parking but on a weekend I think it would be busy since the "parking lot" is big enough for about 8 cars. It's literally on the the side of the highway. Other than that, worth the hike!

Getting to the waterfalls its easy because you are going down. Getting back is a little harder. Because you have to go up. So save plenty of water to return.

Great family- and dog-friendly 4.8 mile hike! Park just outside the Boulder Oaks Campground and access the PCT across the street. (There's some scrambling to get down into the gorge which may be difficult for younger children and smaller dogs.) Tip: Go after rain if you want to see water in the falls, and to access the falls, take the use trail to the left at 2.1 miles, just after a PCT sign.

The road widens in front of the trail to accommodate a bus stop, who knows if the bus stop is still active, but this is where most people park.
Any person in charge or a leadman ? Best hours to go. ? Does is correct take kids to that place ? I'll aprecciate any information. Thanks.
Dogs are not allowed on trails in the National Forest. The hike is short, but nice views
