Frosty Burger

forgot to gas up leaving San Diego and had to stop in Pine Valley. Not much there but a quaint little gas station ($6.50) and the Frosty Burger owned by the same people I believe. Nice people, old school charm and the biggest cone ever! Bigger than Lunds on Lake St. in Minneapolis back in the day! A must stop if you're on hwy 8.

My buddy Gus and I stopped at the Golden Acorn Casino for a bite. We stood at the order counter for what seemed an inordinate amount of time. I asked Gus, "are we invisible"? We decided to go to Pine Valley and try the"World Famous" Frosty Burger. The prices were a shock 😲. I ended up with a chocolate milkshake which cost a little more than an arm and a leg. I predict Frosty Burger will not be in business long.☹️

Great food. Lots of outdoor seating. This isn’t a “fast food” venue. Depending on the time of day, it may take 5 or 10 minutes to fill your order. But the wait is worth it. I saw a couple of banana split orders go by. They looked fantastic. A friend had a “veggie” burger that doesn’t show up on the menu. She said it’s the best she’s ever had.

Decided to stop by after a nine mile hike in Noble Canyon, then a 16 mile out and back bike ride along Sunrise hwy. Some great outdoor activities to be had in Pine Valley. This pit stop was the bomb after a long day. They served out this good size boat of a banana split piled with ice cream, pineapple, banana, whip cream, and upscale maraschino cherries, walnuts, and drizzle. It's vibrant umbrellas added nice shade in the hot summer afternoon.
