I have to add my vote to the dissatisfied customers. I had to go to the store twice to return a product I purchased online. The first time I was told that I shouldn't have started the return process online and receive a return slip. I was told to package the product and ship it. This would have cost me ~$50 which is 50% the cost of the product. I came home and called the West Maine customer service 800 number and they assured me that according to West Maine return policy I can return the product with no issue and regardless of having received a return slip. When I told them that I just came back from the store, they kindly talked to the store and spoke with Andrew, the store manager who was kind to ask me to return to the store and return the product. When I walked in to the cashier to return the product, I was greeted with demeaning looks and terrible attitude. Not sure what is the issue with this store location. Its a hit and miss and they always making up or changing the rules on you depending on the day. It has been one bad experience after the other. Now I only go there if its absolutely necessary. Otherwise, I use other locations.

Why would a West Marin ( Marina del Rey) store make there problems my problem? Having been there several times over several weeks now and trying to pay with CASH i have been told they are not accepting "CASH" A legal form of currency in America last time i checked. There reasoning: Our Bank has been closed since covid and we are looking for a new bank..... Well last time i checked and this is October now, banks are open and if there's isn't many other are.... how long does it take. So for there convenience they stopped taking CASH, a legal form of currency HELLO STOP MAKING YOUR PROBLEMS THE CUSTOMERS PROBLEM and start accepting legal currency!

Great store, clean, organized and well stocked for the most part. Don’t come here if you’re looking for something super specific that you’re already having trouble finding on the internet! For basics, they’ve got you covered. Staff is also extremely helpful and was surprised at the level of attention and care by one of the staffers. Solid place, if you need some supplies for your boat, tackle, line, rods, navigation equipment to play with before you buy, etc - they’ve got it.
