Always out of food and host are rude. Given this one lace many chances since Covid but when the server lies about being out of food just so they don’t have to prepare it is not cool. Go to The Galley or Pixie and Bills in Clemson. Better food and class of people.

When The Local opened up, it was met with 2 star reviews from only a couple of people complaining about the wait, as if any restaurant's opening is suddenly smooth off the bat. I immediately dismissed these negative ratings and quickly ventured to the new awesome lake-accessible restaurant that's become my lunchtime favorite during summer. Have yet to have anything disappointing here.

The food is excellent for starters. The kids are always entertained thanks to a large coloring sheet supply. Going outside is always nice, this place is a breath of fresh air.

This little place has very good food! Some of the best fried mushrooms I've had! The staff was very friendly to us and very helpful with the menu. The location of the restaurant is a tiny bit confusing to find - don't go to the address by following Google directions. Go PAST the address it gives you (that is the pro shop for the golf course) and the restaurant will be less than a quarter mile up the road on your right. The restaurant has lots of cool architectural elements, but you can tell the building is a little run down from normal wear-and-tear over the years. I would not recommend this place for people with knee problems - lots of stairs to go up and down. Overall a good experience here!
