I have never been disappointed in GMH services until my mothers most recent stay a little over a week ago. She has been very sick and visitation has been limited so I would call a few times a day to check in on her. Every time I called the nurse was busy and I was told would call me back. 3-4 hours would go by and no phone call. I would call back just to get the same response. I understand they get busy and have been working short staffed with a high number of patients to care for. But a quick call just to let me know she was doing ok would have been sufficient. She is back there again, still very sick and I’m dealing with the same thing. No phone call back and told she has my number and will call when she has time. Obviously you have a concerned family member who you expect to trust their loved one in your care and you can’t take just a few minutes to give a quick update. I find it rude and unprofessional. Will I stop using GMH? No. They are the best equipped hospital to treat transplant patients. But if another hospital ever becomes equipped, it’s quite possible we would not go back there.

In the last two weeks I have had two procedures at Greenville Memorial. Without doubt I had two very positive experiences from security early in the morning, registration, transportation, pre surgery nurses, operation room nurses and doctors, and last but not least recovery room nurses and staff. Everyone was professional, courteous, kind, caring, and attentive to my needs! I have absolutely no negative comments to be made because nothing negative occur. My wife, while eating was taken care of and informed of my status along the way. She was waiting in my recovery when I arrived. Thank you for taking care of me and my wife. Now, I hope I don’t need to go back, but if I do I know I will be in excellent hands.

I wish I could give this negative stars. Here's the story. The time is 7pm (roughly) of May 22, 2022. I take my wife in for full body pain accompanied with left arm and face numbness, enough pain to put her in tears. The time now is 8:14am of May 23, 2022, my wife is STILL in the waiting room. She forced me to leave at 6:30am to go take our daughter to school and go to work. Not a bad enough situation for you yet? There was another patient next to my wife who came in bleeding due to a miscarriage, they also had her wait in the waiting room...while she bled. She eventually went into seizure and passed out... only then did they take her. Going by the timelime I gave, my wife has been in the waiting room with the symptoms worsening for more than 12hrs. If we have to wait hours for treatment in an emergency room, can it still be considered an emergency room?

Absolute worst nursing staff I have ever seen in my life. My dad is a current patient, who has been there for 4 weeks now. The ICU nursing staff didn’t feed him or bring him water all day. They think that just because the patients are laying there, that they can’t hear them. They hear every smart comment that make to each other. Now that he is out of ICU, the other nurses are much better either. They’re always huddled up , giggling with each other, instead of doing their job. They have shown no compassion or care this entire time. They do not ask my dad if he needs a bath, if he wants to sit up in the chair, nothing! They just try to pump the patients full of whatever medicine they can so that they don’t have to deal with them. Absolutely sickened and disgusted by this hospital.
