Not the biggest or most exciting lake but the scenery is absolutely beautiful. Usually gets pretty hot around these areas for most of the year but it is the perfect Sunday drive down to Cuyamaca Rancho State park. However, you are missing out on hands down the best panoramic viewpoint in San Diego by taking the 79 and not taking the Sunrise National Scenic Byway.

Nice scenic place. Not much crowded. Itβs easy to rent boat and have fun for hours in the lake. Employees are very friendly at boat rentals.

Lake Cuyamaca, is great and relaxing. Rented a cabin for 3 days. And I don't want to go home. The Staff at the store, and Maintenance crew. Don't forget the Great Lady who does the Reservation's.... Go out of their way to help, if needed. All wear a mask π. Just remember, to please help them, and clean up before you leave. No wood, use charcoal. Enjoy your time. We sure did.
