Many thanks to the staffer who helped us dispose of our dog,King. Her kindness helped soothe our pain as King choked to death while we were not home. Very professional and courteous,Thank you for your support!

The staff was friendly except for one if the ladies who's tone was not friendly because we was unaware that there was no animals in the barn and she said in a unfriendly tone your not supposed to be in that area and we said we was unaware we thought it was animals in there and we didn't see a sign so we apologize and another lady said no worries. Other than that the facility is clean the animals is well maintained. Great job

Highly recommend adopting from Lancaster! My family and I have adopted several animals from the Lancaster shelter and they are always kind and helpful. I saw this sweet kitten girl on the website and made an appointment for the same day. At the shelter, they were very friendly and informative and after spending some time with the kitten and I decided to adopt her! Marvin from the staff was very efficient and helped get all the paperwork done quickly. I previously had a terrible experience at the Palmdale shelter so it was greatly appreciated how professional and friendly the staff at Lancaster are. Thanks to Marvin and the whole staff for my new little girl!

There's several vets that offer low,low cost, or payment plan.
When u go to the shelter on there information card on their cages it says if they r and y they r in the shelter... Usually doesnt take to long unless the dog isnt available yet but u can always do a pta (i think thats what its called) which basically is a promise to adopt as soon as the animal is available and u basically called dibs lol
Craigslist or Offerup.. $20~$40 Lowes / Home Depot.. $60~$80
Call and speak to them.
I would recommend calling them first. They should be able to hold the dog for you.
Drain the energy, give them something to chew on or there's always a bark collar
👋👋🐺
A couple huskies but not sure about eye color
Yes, they really can use them, thank you!
Yes, they have a spay/neutering clinic. I believe a free day for that. You'd have to call them to find out for certain however.
I believe so I would call first I don't know where they keep the other animals besides dogs and cats
You can check the website animalcare.lacounty.gov or go in and look.
I would like to adopt a dog but it has to be a white highland terrier
If she can't keep her dog in her own yard.....call the pound! Maybe that will make her do something!!
Do they take in? They're full LA Co. Animal Control Center able to handle from wildlife to domesticated K9's and felines.
Check the website or go in person
Pls contact them directly. Not sure thx.
Jan 2022 $22.00
It's always nice for a person to make assumptions ....
Pretty sure they accept mostly all animals, even pigs and horses.
There is no charge to turn in an animal that you found in the streets
Did they give any info when you called the animal control office.
From what I have seen they treat them very well and the facilities were always very clean, inside the kennels and throughout the compound. I found it very interesting that 2, 2 1/2 years ago I adopted a dog and it cost me $300.00; this time it cost $60.00. Major price drop or a fire sale...... And I'd like to mention, (as anyone and everybody else failed to inform me when I bought Barthomew that if you're over 60 years old you get $20.00 off the license fee and if the animal that you're adopting has been at the shelter longer than 10 days you get a discount for that also. And hey, every little bit helps, but again nobody at the shelter said anything about this to me and I don't take kindly to being taken advantage of, especially so blatantly. It's bad enough being 60. The "Golden Years' Harrumph ... My backside. 🤭 Anyway I wish you a happy experience and hope you find what t want 😼 🐩🐖🐴🐔🐓🐔🐄 I adopted a pot belly pig, and I'm still looking for a very small lap dog.
Hello Veronica. You can always go online to our website and license your pets online (see link below) or you can schedule an appointment to come into any Los Angeles County Animal Care Center to process your new license. Here is the link: https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/licensing/ Thank you for contacting us!
I doubt they review this page but I know they have listed horses, chickens, pigs and turtles. So I imagine they take in goats. I would call to be sure or you can email from their site. (661) 940-4191
They are the same hours you can go and see the animals and claim your lost animals but fir everything else you have to make a appointment
You make an appointment by emailing them. Email is on their website.
I tbink if you email them they can instruct how to drop off donations.
Call or go online and they will give you an appointment to come in.
Below is a link to their website where it indicates licensing fees per area https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/License-Fee-Schedule-2020-07-01-for-website-2.pdf
Yes
Yes they do but you have to search on the website first then make an appointment.
I don't work here, but this is where I would start. https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/volunteer/
Call the animal shelter
Volunteer information can be found on our website at: https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/become-a-volunteer/ Please note that we are not currently onboarding care center volunteers however we are accepting foster volunteer applications. Follow our Facebook and Instagram accounts @lancasteranimalslaco to be notified when we open our application pool for care center volunteers.
Animals come and go on a daily basis.. if you can't go in person, check their website.
I would just pay the fee with your card which has your name on it and skip all the formalities until next year when fees are due again at which point the renewal should come in your name. Get it?
Senior discounts on adoption fee
Unsure exactly when they spay and neuter, but they do. Just Google animal control and you'll get a number
From what I can find online if you can prove that the report is false it would result in a fine to the person reporting but you would have to prove that they intentionally falsified the report.
I thank so
If it's 6 month or younger it's approximately 45 bucks older is half that
I got Daisy there. She was 8 months old. They are pretty great there. She has become my service dog. We live out of state now and everyone loves Daisy! Very friendly and loving.
YES I had a very old dog with cancer and he was biting. They said they don't just put them down anymore.
They should have some rabbits but you would need to contact pound for more details
If you want the Nessisite ashes to pay I do not know how much
police officers will you would have to call the animal shelter and asked about that and stop breaking the law
Uhhh if you've seen any dog whisperer shows, you also need to make sure their social anxiety is under control. Make sure they're leash trained, this is something you can Google
I don't know. It's impossible to talk to someone on the phone. When you call it is all automated. You would have to go there in person and they don't open until noon.
Yes you can, but before you go call them for any suggestions that they have on how to make the visit more memorable for you and your pet!
They need to hire a Doctor that shows up to work. I went there on the 18th of November and they weren't doing shots nor chipping. It does a lot of good to have a schedule they don't follow and you have to drive there to find out. Rhat experience sucked.
Yes
Yes they do for only a small fee
We did that with one of our animals, but it was also like about 6 years ago
Yes but I would recommend calling them first to see what restrictions they may have.
That's a great question.Call them.
What was dog sitters name?
Shelters only put animals down if they are super aggressive or really Ill. The ASPCA does transports there and rescues are there as well. Everyone loves Shepards and the Lancaster shelter will not fail you.
I would be very interested
At the animal shelter.
It depends. If a dog came in as a stray dog, with no tags or micro chip, then the dog is help for 4 days, and can be adopted or rescued by the 5th day if no one claimed the dog But if the dog came in with tags, microchip, or a phone number and name of the owner by the collar, then this dog is held for the owner for 10 days. Owner can come to claim the dog before the ten days are over. If not the dog can be adopted by the end of the 10th day.
They are in a separate area than the dogs. If you go inside someone can help you. Good luck
Had called...they have been notified...that was it...if I had known this.. I would pick animal and buried it myself...sorry to Hear
Do you have any pictures of them? You can post flyers and also give it to the Animal Shelter they can let you know if they have found them.
