Beautiful state park, cost $10 to go in. The campgrounds are steep at $40. Only got to do Cuyamaca Peak in my short time here but I really enjoyed how much the park differs depending on where you are in elevation or location.

Cuyamaca is always such a beautiful place for us to take our horses to ride and camp. The horse camp at greenvalley is wonderful .So many hike and ride trails ,all thru the park. Most of the streams are all dried up now,but we are still find some wild flowers

I've hiked a few trails in this park, it's nice. If I didn't have a bad hip I'd hike much more of the park and really be able to tell you more about it. It's in San Diego county around 3 thousand feet or more in elevation, so there is trees mainly oak. Nice place to get away from the bustle of San Diego (30+ miles east)

Such a great family camping location! Camp sites are spacious and not too close to each other. The views make it seem like you are really far into nature, even though you're not too far from the city. Bathrooms are pretty nice (clean and stocked) and are close to camp sites. There are walking trails within the park and people are friendly. We will be staying here again!

It's not exactly locked, however there are a lot of gated communities. It's a great place to see the stars.
There are a few campgrounds in the park, such as Paso Picacho where you can pitch a tent or pull your camper in an assigned space. The campgrounds have plumbing and a ranger on-site.
Is it snowing now in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park? Can someone please answer
JULIAN Has several places to eat for takeout and some have tables on the outside. Stores are open but safety guild lines are in place. I have always enjoyed our trips there.
They are open, but space is very limited. Especially if you're looking for sites on the weekends.
Per the park website: ”PLEASE REMEMBER Dogs must be attended and leashed at all times. Except for service animals, pets are allowed only on paved roads."
Yes, capm fires are allowed in designated fire rings
There is a lake up the way. Lake Cuyamaca. There is a restaurant on the lake with outside seating so you can enjoy your meal with a beautiful view. It's Lake Cuyamaca Restaurant & Store. Definitely check it out!
That changes and is posted
You can reserve and it is first come first serve as well
No (was there last week) - but it got quite chilly (50s) in the shade. Great layering weather for a hike or run!👍
I don't know anything about the local school but you get cell service at the campsite so you can call or text anyone
Go to reserve California
Yes they have mtn biking trails through out the park. Checks the maps for the trails the are ok to ride a bike on...

Not legal, but definitely happens
Yes. Dogs must be on leash at all times and cannot go on trails though.
Yes it is.
You will need a state fishing license to fish the streams. For Lake Cuyamaca you'll also need a permit, which is 8 dollars for adults...not sure of the fees/ages for kids.

I never see someone with that hobbie but I think is allowed
No. Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the trails in the park. They may be on leash in parking lots and campgrounds only.
If my poor spanish skills are working: some areas ypu can access without a fee. Other parts you can buy a day pass to access.
Yes it is overnight night camping with parking spots
It is open from dawn until dusk. Though if you have a campsite reservation, you can still get in after dark.
There is a Cuyamaca webcam which shows landscape and if there is snow. Search Cuyamaca webcam
