We were recommended this camp ground by some friends. Upon arrival, check in was quick and easy. The staff was beyond friendly and informative. While we were waiting on the guy to take us to our site all we could see was a couple of rows of rigs basically on top of one another. I thought "oh no. We have small kids, this is not going to be good." We were site 73 and luckily we had a little more space. The site was small, but we have small camper, luckily they don't book the site next to it so we had parking for our truck. I'm glad they don't use that site otherwise we would have only had about 3-4 foot of yard area for sitting and such. The picnic tables are very small. But we had some shade compared to others. We did see rigs that were so close together they either couldn't put their awning out or it was touching the slides of another camper. We had some family joining us and they had to be moved from the original site they were given due to the site being too small for their 5th wheel. All in all, the place was beautiful. The river was nice and has a great walking path. The bay has swings set up all around for relaxing. The pools are nice. There are 3, and a splash pad. If you want to get in cold water, just run through the splash pad because the pools aren't cold. They are still relaxing, but the temperature stays pretty warm. The playground was nice too, it was big and the kids enjoyed it. The game room stayed locked so we didn't get to see that. We did enjoy the full hook ups, and the trash pick up. We were close to the restaurant so that was also nice. Its nice that they have ice on site for just $3. I would stay here again if we were traveling with others who just really wanted to stay here, otherwise I wouldn't pick it again.

Upon entry I was surprised at how nice it was. The lady in the office was very friendly and informative. My first issue was the guy that takes you to your site and then tries to back you in. I understand some people have no clue how to back their rig, but I am not that person. The guy was very particular on how he wanted me to park and we went back and forth with me asking him to just tell me where he wants it. It was kinda ridiculous to be honest. When I walked around the park, I was surprised how 90% of the sites were so close you can’t even put your awnings out. Thankfully I was one of the few sites on the river side that had a generous amount of room. I am SO GLAD I didn’t book the bay side because I don’t think my rig would have fit in any of those spaces. There’s a good amount of full time residents or permanent seasonal campers, which is common for most parks. The place is very nice and great water views all over the park. SUGGESTION- You need to get control of parking. I have been RVing a long time and have been to hundreds of parks. People park their tow vehicle at their site in front of their rig and then across from the site as well, leaving absolutely no room to pull out. I just watched my neighbor struggle trying to get out this morning all while biting my nails hoping he didn’t hit my rig. Designated parking should be either across from YOUR SITE (I have a random truck parked across from my site) or ON YOUR SITE, NOT both. It seems you allow people to just park anywhere with no instruction on where to park. The rules say “One vehicle per site- additional vehicles in overflow”. Problem is it doesn’t say WHERE to park and they certainly aren’t enforcing the additional vehicles in overflow area. Fix this please so newbies that can’t drive don’t damage peoples rigs.

This was our first trip to River Rocks Landing. PRO: Super-friendly staff all around. We were led to our site, and our host actually got out and guided us in to our back-in spot, lot 139, a FHU site with 50 amp, and on the water (bay side, according to map). Park was very clean, with walking paths around the entire park (well lit at night), with community swings along the path throughout and a few common area fire pits with seating. We did not use the pools, but there are 3, one infinity, one heated and also a splash pad for kids. The onsite restaurant (Current Market and Deli) recently opened, and the food (burgers, dogs, pizza, etc.) was very fresh and tasty. Quite time is 10pm to 8am and everyone adhered to this rule during our stay. Views are amazing and many folks were fishing right from the walking path. CON: It's true; sites are super tight! To sit outside and watch our outside TV, our chairs were about 24" from our neighbors camper; we could not extend our awning all the way without it touching their unit. Picnic tables are kid-sized, I believe because a full size would not really fit. The electrical appears to be old, but we had no issues. Wifi was essentially non-existent at our space; we use verizon and were able to connect via our jetpack. No space for parking your tow. Some folks pulled diagonally to their RV or camper, and some across from their RVs/campers which likely explains the 5 MPH speed limit. We have a 40' motorhome and tow car. There appear to be quite a few permanent residents (or very long-term) 'guests'. Overall, I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars, as they are getting a lot of things right; in my opinion, the biggest con is the place is just WAY overdeveloped for the amount of land available. I understand there are few pull in spots on the 'other' side that take up 2 spots, but we could not confirm. If this is an option, we may be back, but otherwise, too tight for us for a return visit.

This is by far one of the best campsites we have EVER been too! We went during the Christmas lights and when we booked didn't even know they had the lights so when we got there we were blown away! The staff and the owners are so friendly and nice to everyone. At the clubhouse they have snacks, tshirts, and other goodies you can purchase. The entire campsite is surrounded by the river so you can fish or dock your boat. They have boat slips and parking for trailers if needed too! They also have a pool and kiddy splash pool area. They also have an area you can use for weddings or other things, a little chapel, and a kids playground. The place is so clean and well kept! And they pick up your trash as long as you set it by the road at your campsite! Again, this place is amazing and so conveniently close to everything in Gadsden and the nearby cities. If you are looking for a place to stay come here!!
