POST OPERTAIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT WAS POOR. I ended up going to an urgent care facility after seeing the surgeon twice during the first two weeks. They diagnosed me at the urgent care with nerve pain, which I had suggested to the surgeon during my last visit. 🤦🏽♀️ I got an anesthetic shot to the surgical site and a prescription for a nonnarcotic pain medication (for nerve pain). My pain resolved almost immediately! This situation cost me two days off of work, in addition to the two days I had already take off for this surgery. Otherwise, great location. Customer service was average, the receptionist do not seem to be very knowledgeable about insurance but are very friendly and helpful.

Was able to extract my wisdom tooth the next day from the consultation. Went over all the necessary steps needed to take care of my teeth after. Billing and pricing was very affordable. Would remember them to anyone needing dental surgery. 10/10

What an amazing experience! I got my wisdom teeth out, and I could not recommend The Oral Surgery & Dental Implant of San Diego enough! Dr. Koshgerian was amazing- he made me feel comfortable and I had a smooth and easy recovery. I will be recommending all family & friends here!

Dr. Shelton was very personable, professional and respectful. The prep time actually took longer than the extraction; that was all of 5 minutes. Everyone there was as nice as could be. Being able to pick my own music was a comfortable delight. This was one of my best experiences at the dentist and that in itself is an oxymoron. Thanks Doctor and Staff.

Hello Michael. Please call our practice and one of our highly talented staff members would be more than happy to help answer your questions. Thanks for reaching out and we look forward to hearing from you.
Yes. A dental implant is so versatile that it can be used to replace any tooth. If there is not enough jaw bone to support the implant, a bone graft can be performed to promote the growth of new bone. If you are not a candidate for dental implants, there are other tooth replacement options to consider.
While dentures may cost less upfront, they can require costly upkeep, adjustments, and more dental appointments in the future. Many patients find dentures to be uncomfortable and embarrassing, and they must be cleaned with special rinses and removed during eating. A dental implant, on the other hand, has a high success rate and becomes a permanent part of your smile. Removable dentures need to be replaced as often as every 5 years, while a dental implant can last a lifetime. If you’re missing many teeth in one arch, you may be a candidate for a full-arch restoration.
Yes. A badly damaged or decayed tooth can simply be extracted and replaced with a dental implant, sometimes in the same visit. If the jaw bone in the area of the tooth has deteriorated, a bone graft will be inserted into the socket, and the implant post will be inserted at a later date when there is enough bone to support it.
Yes. We can place a dental implant as soon as a tooth is extraction, reducing the number of appointments needed to restore the tooth.
