I would give this place a 0 if I could. The lady I worked with was totally demeaning. We just moved here from out of state. Made me feel like garbage. I am confused nobody made you take this job. If you don't like people then this is not the job for you. The reason why the system is there is to aid people with temporary assistance when they are struggling. So ya, when I come in your office and need assistance don't put me down, scold my kids, shrug your shoulders and try to make me feel out of place. What is wrong with you? In fact everyone in that office needs a lesson in customer service and kindness.

Awful very awful. Turned all of my paper work in and was told that my case would be opened up. Not the case. They have no records of me turning paperwork at all. Whoever my caseworker is I just want to let you know that you are horrible at your job. This is the only place to go in Oceanside and it is the worst welfare office I have ever been to in this whole country. Im not one to live off the system but since I have been disabled times have been tough and this place just makes it that much worse. When u truly need help places like this just set u back. Just the truth no exaggeration at all!

There is only street parking, which makes it very difficult when you are 8 months pregnant and having to carry your 1 year old. The waiting room is disgusting! I don't think they have ever gone through to clean it. And every time I go there, I spend more time sitting in the waiting area, than I do speaking to a representative. When you first walk in, they have a metal detector and they go through your belongings. Then you have to see this person to give you a ticket. Every time I am there, it's the same guy doing to the tickets, and he definitely does it with an attitude! I hate it when I need to go in there! If you can handle things over the phone, do it!

To receive In Home Supporrive Services (IHSS), yes Medi-Cal (same as Medicaid) is required. Then you can work with IHSS to have your caregiver be your family member.
Depends what you're there for.
They are very busy and they should respond but sadly they usually don't.
If you got to your appt, your ok. But you can call them and ask
