Accompanied my husband for an MRI. Reggie, the tech, took my husband's crutches away and expected him to walk into the room without any help, which he could not do because of his injury. Only after I said then I would help my husband get into the room did Reggie say he would help him. My husband had to ask Reggie to help him get his injured leg up onto the MRI table. After the MRI, Reggie offered no help to put a leg brace back on his injured leg. My husband only has the use of one arm and so it was a struggle for him to get the brace back on. Again my husband had to ask Reggie to help get his injured leg down off of the table. Reggie couldn't have shown less concern for a patient's well being. I would like to say though that the lady at the desk was very kind and helpful throughout the appointment. I would give her 5 stars.

It takes a lot to leave me speechless, but this place managed to do it. After not less than 20 phone calls in a 6 hour span Wednesday, between this place, me and my doctor's office, I was assured that the 7:15 a.m. Thursday appointment that had been held for me was now confirmed. This was 5:02 pm Wednesday. I dutifully went to bed early, and set my alarm for a time I am never up at. This MRI, though, was of paramount importance, so I took one for the team to get it done. It was the only available appointment for Thursday, and I badly needed to get this done. I arrived promptly at 7:15, only to be told that I was not on the schedule, and that the person who I had interfaced with all of Wednesday wouldn't be in until 8 or 8:30. The lady said she had to attend to the others who DID have appointments and she would see what she could do. Since I lived very nearby, and my back, the reason why I needed the MRI, was killing me, I elected to go home. The lady said she'd call me. I shed a few tears on my 2 mile drive home. I was in serious pain, counting on this MRI to give me some answers, and had spent the entirety of the previous day making calls to San Diego Imaging and my doctor's office to get the correct authorization with the correct code sent to the right fax machine at the correct office with the doctor's order. On top of this, I was very tired from not sleeping well and getting up so early. In the end, it all worked out fine. I called my insurance and told them in no uncertain terms that San Diego Imaging is completely incompetent, registered a formal complaint and, in the strongest possible terms, recommended that their contract with San Diego imaging be terminated post haste. I was then assured that I had an authorization for Imaging Healthcare, now known as IHS Radiology, which was my preferred provider. An unbelievably kind lady, Margaret, from their authorization department listened to my plight, called my doctor's office and insurance for me, got the authorization switched to Imaging Healthcare, called to follow up that everything had been taken care of, and got me scheduled for a same day appointment. That appointment went smooth as a baby's butt. I was in and out in 35 minutes, CD's in hand, and left them a 10 rating on their survey system. In summary, I can only say that it is apparent that San Diego imaging couldn't find their backside with both hands if their lives depended upon it. Save yourself hours of frustration and go to Imaging Healthcare, aka IHS Radiology, instead.

I've had to visit SD Imaging for way too many issues over the years: MRI's and X-Rays of both feet, shoulders, and wrists. I am always treated kindly and with compassion by those answering the phone to set my appt, the front office staff that checks me in, and the X-ray and MRI techs who take the MRI and X-Rays. Thanks for treating me so well, SD Imaging!

Here's an idea--don't advertise that your office hours begin at 7:00am if your techs don't arrive until 8:30!! And this fact is not posted anywhere!! Do you really feel it's ok to make people wait 90 minutes in the lobby??? If this is the case, you should not accept walk in appts. What a terrible disservice to patients! Also, ask parents with sick children to have them wear masks instead of coughing and sneezing germs all over the place, and THEN PROVIDE THE MASKS!!! DUH!!
