If you want to learn how to ride I strongly suggest finding a family or friend to teach you some basics then come to this class. One of the instructors was very rude, unprofessional, and agressive in his communication making it a very uninspiring and stressful environment. The course felt more like it was testing you than teaching you, so I would recommend any true first time rider to get comfortable with the basics before attending.

Hi Everyone! I passed California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcycle Training Course (CHP-sponsored California Motorcyclist Safety Course) ( class M1) 2 weeks ago. Teor program very well selected material, understandable. Practice was perfect , instructors tried their best to transmit and teach practical motorcycle riding skills. I want to note the deep professionalism of the instructors. Motorcycles and equipment are in good condition. When I passed this California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcycle Training Course (CHP-sponsored California Motorcyclist Safety Course), I got sertificate in the next 2-3 days, after that I passed the theoretical exam in just two minutes at the DMV. I recommend it ! 🦾

As a novice I was a little apprehensive but the instructors immediately put us at ease by treating everyone as a beginner to build your skills from the ground up. The two day class has classroom sessions each morning (multiple choice exam on day 2) with the afternoon sessions reserved for the fun part of riding bikes on a closed course with skills practice. Highly recommend this school and the instructors, especially Dave and Dan!

Had a fantastic experience this past weekend with SRT. The classroom portion of the class was lively and the two different instructors each brought stories and personality to the material to help bring it to life. The range work on ths motorcycles was challenging and very informative. They truly taught us techniques that will save our lives one day. This is not a paper mill so expect to be challenged but it was not so tough as to induce panic before the written or practical material. I'll probably go back before year's end to take their advanced course.

Questions & Answers

I have never ridden a motorcycle and I’m looking for a class that would help me with learning on how to do it safely. Getting out of first and shifting gears seems like it would be the most challenging. Do you guys offer a beginners class ?

They do and it's pretty good.

If you pass this class, do you get a license? Or do you still have to go to the dmv, borrow a moped to pass that ridiculous cone test?

Yes and no. When you pass the class, you will get a certificate that you will have to take up the DMV. They will have you do some written tests but the riding test is waived.

Do you supply the motorcycles and helmets? What days are the classes held? Cost of course?

They supply the bikes, gloves, boots and helmets. Does have many sizes but be one the safe side and bring your own boots and gloves. It makes a big difference wearing things that fit you best. I went to the weekend course for two days. Both days in the morning we had a in classroom lessons and afternoon riding on the motorcycles. The cost of the course was $258. Make sure you make it on time otherwise it's tough to get in through wait listing.
