I decided to downsize and order a brand new mobile for my next home. I researched all of the dealerships in the Citrus County, Hernando county and Marion county areas and chose Gainey Custom Modular & Manufactured Homes to work with me to achieve my goals. Wow! They did an amazing job from helping me choose the model I wanted to helping me with the timeline to putting the home on my property. They were extremely helpful and patient in answering all of my many questions. It was such an easy process. They were helpful and timely with everything from putting in the new plumbing and septic field to coming and fixing my door after the fact when it didn't shut properly. They went above and beyond to make my home buying experience the best!! I recommend them to everyone and anyone who is looking for an excellent experience in purchasing a new home! Horrible experience, I would NOT recommend Gainey Custom Homes to anyone. We have been working with Joe B who has had a bad attitude, messes up paperwork and now hangs up on you when you call. How are you to get anywhere when you can't even talk to anyone. Nothing is going right after my unit was put on my lot, still don't have the steps, the plumbing is backing up into the tub and smells like sewer, called Gainey on Thursday talked with Rocco and he was even rude and said he would take care of it but didn't so where is the customer service. When you spend a lot on a home you want your home to be nice but then you can't get into it, WOW. When the GM won't even return a call that is pretty sad.

In our search for a Manufactured Home we went to many dealers, and the experience was mostly the same. We knew we wanted Jacobsen, but most of what we got were run arounds and unfounded promises. We live in northeast Florida but actually drove all the way to Gainey because it was immediately apparent that they were above board, honest, and genuinely eager to help us get the right home at a fair price. Notice I said fair, not cheap. I say this because Bill (our salesman) was not like the used car type we kept running into. He stated very clearly the prices for everything and NEVER made any promises that were not in writing from the very onset. He was more like a guide than a salesman. We were wise to put our faith in him, and he worked VERY hard to get us exactly what we wanted. He put in extra effort in the logistics of working with us being 200 miles away. After this experience, I consider Bill my friend and that should tell you how pleased we are. Matt and Bill are our heroes, and we are completely satisfied. If you are in the market for a new home, you really need to talk to them before you buy so that you can see the difference. It's like a breath of fresh air. Imagine you have bought your home and the dealer has long since been paid.....and your salesman still calls to see how everything is going....that's the kind of service I am talking about. 6 stars if it were possible. Would give no star if if were an option, Showed up at 4:45 to look at mobile#2 on your lot briefly before we decided to sign with Clayton homes across the street....well the sales rep made that an easy decision by saying he wouldn't unlock the house 15 minutes before close. When I pointed out it was 15 minutes before close he walked away to the back of the office and didn't come back leaving me to escort myself out of their office. We are now purchasing the $209,000 hathaway Model from Clayton Homes whowas eager to help us and informative not eager to leave and not help an inquiring customer 15 minutes before closing time. I can only imagine the horror that happens after you sign a contract with people like that.
