Opp council is a joke. They will help everyone that's from other countries but they won't help their own people who live here. My 12 yr old and I don't deserve to be in a tent. But I got a abusive situation you guys need to do better

Great place to visit when looking for assistance from whatcom county for services like, housing, vouchers, bus passes, and much more.

Rental assistance process: schedule an eligibility appointment when you are behind on rent (availability is generally 2-3 months out if you're able to snag an available spot, appointments are limited, oppco csr advice is always to refresh the website each morning hoping to snag an appointment). When you finally speak to a csr for your approval/denial eligibility appointment, you must still be behind to recieve assistance. If you can find a landlord that will let you be behind on rent for 3-4 months without evicting you, please let me know.

The opportunity council is a lifesaver for me. They have helped me through my roughest times. And the lady that I see helped me tremendously when I had no clue what I was doing. She helped me set up my apartment residential setup on my phone which I have no clue how to do and she worked with me and help me tremendously. I would like to thank you all for helping me out so much. It is so appreciated. Once again thank you

The Whatcom Opp can usually help as long as its all rent no late fees or other owed money need the pay or vacate with you for your first apppointment they'll give you list of other stuff if they can help that they'll need... Good luck prayers you'll get help Joey Rogers..
Yes they can help when homeless and when you have an eviction notice a 3 day pay or vacate they sometimes give vouchers for motels depends on how many child and where you sleeping if its in your car or whatever kind if vehicle you have they can help if they have funds!!! Thats the answer I have for the questions asked above for Alexarc Mastema & Alexandra Stahley. They can help most of time jus go at 8am.. Be there few mins earlier than 8am their is usually a line waitn to get in for the help. But jus tell them truth and they help wit what they can..... They've help me recently if they can but if they don't have funds sorry its great place for resources they have a lot of them just ask the usually have an answer or they can refer you to somewhere else if they can't help good luck hope you all can get some help...
-Good question! I would strongly believe that Hope House will gladly accept your donations. Be sure to check the drop off" hours prior to arriving, as I know their hours are selectively odd 😄 Best of luck to you Dianne!
Your best bet is to ask for assistance through a church or a donating organization.
Please check the agency website: oppco.org. However, I believe most housing assistance for Skagit County is handled by Skagit County government offices, SkagitCounty.net.
Northwest Youth Services will be able to help you.
They have all kinds of services and knowledge about other services
Nothing stays the samé. You don't need to know why it changed. Just what it changed to.
You would need to go through the community resource center at the Opportunity Council for an intake. There is often a wait list, but the intake is the first step.
They will be closed Monday, President's day.
Their power lines went down and the facility had to close. Should be there tomorrow though.
Do you have children the Whatcom opportunity can help sometimes got to go by 8 a.m. in the morning though maybe a few minutes before because there'll be line sometimes and you want to get in first so you can get the help if you have children that usually help if they have the funds still good luck prayers you figure things out for you and your family
The Whatcom opportunity can refer you to a person who can help get you resume a cover letter for a job and they may be able to help get you a job good luck
Welcome opportunity might be able to bring your Bill to them or still talk to them and see what they say if they have the funds they will help but only if they have the funds good luck sorry to hear it is cold out lately very prayers
