They messed up my eyes the i can see a little bit better but glasses are way better i will keep this 1 star here till my next apointment to see if it gets any better and one more thing they will put some kind of a wax thing where they do the surgery when i finished with it and the doctor took it off bits of my skin were in it and now i have s outline of it and its been 6months and its still not gone Update. The problem is getting worse were one of my eyes is better then the other I have had about 5 appointments in the last 6 months all those appointments when I got there they told me your eyes are dry and I put eye drops every time I can the surgery failed for one of my eyes and I am looking to get my money back or they fix if not am going to sue them.

I completely agree with the other negative reviews. I do not recommend this place, they simply don't call you back. In my experience, back in December of last year, they left me hanging three weeks prior to surgery. I had already signed up with them to do the ICL surgery and set the appointment, and they never called me back (it was specifically regarding a matter that they themselves brought up - it was about the contacts I usually wear). It stressed me out because I was already nervous about the whole thing in the first place, and the fact that we had already planned everything, including scheduling my days off work. They literally never called me back to give me a status, so the surgery never happened. Keep in mind that I called them, and left messages (over a period of 3+ weeks). They just never contacted me back -- even to this day. It's like they didn't want my business for some reason... even though I was a good customer, with full payment ready to go. Honestly it was a memorable bad experience in my life... the neglect I experienced made me depressed, especially since I truly believe I was a good customer to them... I did nothing wrong -- in fact, I actually did my homework before the surgery so I took it serious, and never rushed them with their schedule (I even told them delays are acceptable; I told them I understand the risks with the surgery and I would never risk rushing something like this). I respected the doctor and the process, so I had plenty of patience. I followed through with EVERYTHING on their checklist for the surgery (including the pre-surgery health check at a separate doctor -- which I paid for obviously). And in the the end, they left me hanging --even after multiple attempts to contact them. Given the seriousness of this operation and the out-of-pocket costs, I was surprised how unprofessional they were... straight-up sketchy business operations.... I wouldn't even expect this from my car mechanic, much less an eye surgeon. In short, even if you want to have your surgery here (which I wanted to initially), there is a HIGH probability that it just won't happen. They literally will be like a bad date-- no call back... for no reason either. Look at other negative reviews!! There are similar experiences. Save yourself the stress/time/money -- And go elsewhere!

Excellent state-of-the-art facility for eye care. The staff is very focused on making sure you understand the costs and coverage options ... maybe a little too much.

My only regret with getting LASIK is that I didn’t do it sooner. My entire experience with the Gordon Schanzlin practice was awesome. Getting my initial consultation was easy and everyone was very friendly. Scheduling my procedure was also easy, and they made sure I was properly informed about what to expect, etc. Dr. Schanzlin performed my LASIK procedure, and I really appreciated his warmth and kind demeanor. Plus, he remembered a detail about one of my hobbies that was discussed during my initial consultation, which I thought was very classy. The LASIK procedure itself was quick and painless. The vision in my right eye became 20/20 pretty quickly, but my left eye was still blurry for awhile due to swelling. They assured me this wasn’t anything unusual, and they made sure they knew that they cared and they wanted me to be happy with my results. I had the procedure in April and today I am very happily 20/15 in both eyes! Getting LASIK has made life so much easier, and I’m very happy that I decided to choose Gordon Schanzlin for my procedure. The staff are all friendly and caring, and I couldn’t be happier with my results. Also, I want to give Dr. Diana Pust a special shout-out. She’s been my doctor for all of my follow-up appointments, and I just absolutely love her! She’s really made me feel appreciated, and it’s been a pleasure being her patient. I cannot recommend this office enough— it’s been a phenomenal experience!

There is a small lot before the building for the oral surgeon that is free. I've never paid to park there.

Do they offer free consultions ?

Yes. For the elective procedures they offer, you are provided with and required to complete a diagnostic battery of tests to ensure that you are a proper candidate for the procedure you are desiring to have. I was previously told that I was not a candidate for LASIK because of my corneal thickness, or lack thereof, in my right eye. I was told my vision was too far deteriorated and that I woukd have to wear glasses or resort to a more invasive ocular implant surgery that would cost more and require more downtime. These guys let me know that while those were valid medically based concerns, they let me know, in their opinion, the previous surgeons were scared and lacked experience. I had my procedure done as a Christmas present to myself last year, and would do it all over again at this office. The cost versus the value and happiness in my life has been exponential. I have been enjoying better than 2020 vision since.

Once they do a lens exchange do you now have floaters in your eyes like an 80 year old? Because I do and I'm only 50. Big mistake having Gordon work on my eyes.

RLE is refractive lens exchange - same as cataract surgery excluding the cataracts... I am 59 when i had RLE and happy w my results. I am also a 30+ yr veteran of RK surgery by Dr. G in 1987...
