I love working here. I have never had such caring and kind coworkers or administrators. We are truly coming together as a team to best serve the needs of our community here at MacRes. I love that I am encouraged to think outside the box and creatively. We are constantly encouraged to practice self care, so that we then cam be our best for our residents. Our pay scale and benefits package are better than the average. I look forward to coming into work.

It is a great place to be if one needs assisted living facility, and is living on SSDI or SSI

I am very fortunate to finally have been accepted here as a resident. It's very difficult to decide it is time to move to an assisted living facility and give up more of one's independence. This was most definitely the "right" decision for myself and my health. The staff and other residents have been wonderful so far, and I researched it for about 4yrs B4 I even applied for the unit. Maybelle Center for Community, open to the residents of old town, who become members and is part of the property and our membership and services continue. There is a large (Good part) of being a "family member" with the staff and residents. Again, I'm VERY happy, thankful, and fortunate to finally be here. Even my MD'S are thrilled!

Yes we are dog friendly..

Do the residents actually get to speak their opinions and be heard? Cause not from what I’ve seen.

Yes, residents are allowed to have and speak their opinion on an issue of concern in the moment to staff, management, or through many of the appropriate commitiees. The best way to have your opinion not listened to, is to gossip, talk/complain informally (like in front of building or in the atrium, or in general, whine and gripe sessions. ) However, if you use the correct method one will heard. We also have a state ombudsman who is very effective, and an excellent ally.
