I ordered Khai Soi, which is not on the menu, and it was fabulous. The great experience began with the beautiful presentation of juxtaposed colors and textures. Everything was fresh in taste and aroma. This meal was a special treat.

AL's Thai Food has promise, but... When you have to spit out gristle four bites in a row of your very nice beef Larb, that's not a great start. It's too bad because my meal was tasty, though skimpy. I can usually make two meals from takeout. Not so with my Larb. I expected more for $15. The gristle continued with more bites. Trim your beef better and you might get four stars next time. If I come back.

Hands down on flavor. Prices are pretty high unfortunately. I was looking at the menu photos and saw $9 (now that's taken down), but now the same item is for $13. Was already there so went for it. Serving was on the smaller side. Maybe I expected more based on the price but inflation maybe? No doubt the flavor and authenticity of the food is 5 star, service is 5 star. Food is made to order by one woman team. BUT price/quantity is 3 star

The awesome team at Al’s did an amazing job hosting our group for a big family gathering! This isn’t a big place, but they stretched themselves to make our 15 person group happy. Great food and willingness to take us on very short notice! If I’m back in Portland I will find my way here, and would recommend this place to any local. Thanks so much again!!
