Ordered 4 plates for the family (2 griot and 2 tasso kabrit). Grio was pretty good but several pieces were just fat. Tasso kabrit had good flavor. The plantains were not good at all. Not crispy, just a bit hard. The rice and beans was ok, but a bit too greasy and somewhat mushy. The rice and sos pwa was good. Overall the food was pretty good.

This place is so dam inconsistent with their prices, it doesn't even make sense. You'll get charged $10 for something, the very next day its $20, had somebody else order the exact same thing again on purpose, and it was $12 ?? Tried to speak to the owner who was absolutely disgusting with her attitude and downright dismissive. People, please take your money to CHINA HUT or SUPER FAMILY DAYLIGHT. They're way more consistent, friendly and give plenty!

I called in to place my order, the lady didn't speak English so I had to go in order and wait. Food was good but the meat portion was very small and half was fat. I ordered the lunch griot.

Stopped by last week to give this place a try. My Haitian friends told me that the place is authentic and that the food is very good. I must concur because I've been back three times already and have tried the Légumes, Rice and Beans, Poule an Sos, Grio and Tasso Turkey, and everything has been absolutely delicious! Place is set up like a 50's style American Diner but with a Hatian flare. The staff is very friendly and I've always been greeted with a warm welcome. La Belle Monique is now on my list of favorite restaurants in South Florida!
