This is a very good company. Big Al was a pleasure to deal with, he identified the right type sod I needed and helped me get a sod installer. Sod lawn is looking great!

Great local spot for sod and palms. Al is a cool guy who will take care of you and Juan does excellent palm installs and landscaping. Juan had two 25 ft palms installed in about two hours and cleaned up after. Highly recommend!

Big Al was so helpful! Our experience was smooth, consultative and with quick and friendly delivery. We will definitely be return customers and recommend Superior Sod to friends and neighbors!

Superior Sod in Wilmington has been fantastic to purchase sod from. The customer service provided by big Al was top notch. They were able to sell me high quality sod at a fair price by the pallet, half pallet and by the piece. I couldn’t recommend Superior Sod enough for all your turf needs. Great selection, great quality and great customer service.

Arthur, I do a lot of business with Superior Sod. Each pallet of sod equal 450 sq ft.
Yes, we have extra sod slabs available for most varieties where one slab can be purchased for $3.00 of any variety. Each slab is 3 square feet (18" X 24"). Please call "Big Al" at (910) 443-0596 at anytime to make sure we have slabs of Centipede the morning you would like to come in. Thanks for your inquiry! Don Curtis, Owner
A 1/2 pallet of Centipede has 75 Slabs - each slab is 18" X 24" = 3 Sq. Ft. This will cover 225 Sq. Ft. The cost of this is $112.50 plus an $8.00 refundable deposit for the wooden pallet. Our Centipede is a Certified Variety called Tifblair Certified which provides the highest quality possible.
I agree with the above comment.
Dear Gary, Yes, Our Raleigh St. Augustine is ready for harvesting, but our schedule gets delayed with the consistency of rain our farm has been receiving. We are way above the normal amount of rain we receive year-to-date which keeps our fields too wet and too soft to allow our harvesting equipment out there. Too much damage ensues, and soon we are behind schedule. Please call "Big" Al at our Ogden Terminal (910) 443-0596 to place your order and to stay in touch with. The schedules we try to maintain are very vulnerable to what Mother Nature provides. Thank you very much for your inquiry! Don Curtis, Owner
Empire Zoysia is $250.00 and Zorro Zoysia is $270.00. Both varieties are Certified, and both are harvesting beautifully. Thanks for your inquiry? Don Curtis, Owner
Yep. I installed it. Not bad to do. After all, it's only grass.
