Beautiful museum in heart of downtown FL. Eclectic exhibits, always thought provoking and edgy, never boring or something you might see elsewhere. Something for everyone, low and highbrow alike.

Excellent museum with changing exhibits as well as permanent collection featuring William Glackens. Current exhibit Confrontation featuring the art of Keith Haring and Pierre Alechinsky

While this museum has historically held some amazing exhibitions, its current exhibits are underwhelming, and half of its feature space is empty as of 2/6/22. The materials from its permanent collection on display are also not up to the caliber of other art museums in the region. I rarely make it downtown since covid, and I was hoping for a treat. As I said, underwhelming.

I came at the perfect time to experience an exhibit of one of the best fashion designers in the world, Anna Sui. I truly hadn't heard much about her or learned of her impact on the fashion industry until reading paragraphs displayed on the walls about her upbringing. Her collections new and old, her vision, her drive and perfectionism have truly shown in her art. I truly believe this has been the highlight of 2021... being able to experience such a wonderfully planned out exhibition!
