I had a strange run in with an officer when taking my daughter to school today. On the way a dark blue, unmarked dodge charger pulled onto highland in front of me @ approximately 8:10 am on 11/30/18. The vehicle was going approx 18 mph in a 25 zone. I proceeded to follow,(2 car lengths behind, I have the dash video) We then entered the 20 mph school zone. The officer then suddenly stopped in front me in the middle of the street, turned on his lights and jumped out. He approached my vehicle and I rolled down my window. He then in an aggressive manner tells me I was following to close, and when I try to reply that he was going under the posted speed limit and I was following the legal 2 car lengths behind his cruiser he then implies that I'm gonna be in some kind of trouble for trying to explain(I've been driving this route for 7 years taking my daughter to school) I then say "well ok" obviously confused about what's going on, and then he just walked off without asking my name or giving me his. This was very strange to me. He is an tall,older, grey haired officer, that I assume lives in the highland hills and drives an unmarked dark blue cruiser without E- plates. I have the utmost respect for all officers, but this guy seemed on edge, and almost looking for a confrontation. Seems dangerous to me, maybe he was having a bad morning but come on.... I am still contemplating whether or not to put the video on YouTube. I dont have his name so I'm not sure if a written complaint is possible. Can a fellow officer please just tell this dude to chill out a little bit, good grief:/
