I had a vehicle broken into while on vacation and it was reported by a neighbor. They never came out to investigate and then it was stolen. They never contacted me and Officer Courtney Pitman said and I quote "I assumed you knew."

Thank you for all the hard work and for all the changes you are making to better protect and serve our communities. Sadly, it is not enough to stop the illegal activity here that you get called out on every other month. As well as the fire dept. 4 times in 1 year- finally burning down the house they are 'squatting' in! Seems as if the people breaking the law have more rights then the hard working tax paying citizens in my neighborhood. Very frustrating.

I strongly urge you to re elect our wonderful and dedicated Sheriff Daniel. We moved here 40+ years ago from Portland area. Sheriff Daniel is hands down the best sheriff this county has had. He has accomplished an unbelievable amount of progress in building up the department with what he was given. He has hired deputies, brought back patrols, made sure all deputies have attended the academy for proper training and procured Grants saving tax payers' pocketbooks. We now have resident deputies with a presence in the schools and building good will with staff and students alike. You won't find a better man who is more qualified than Dave Daniel. He's my choice to protect our county. He gets the job done. Four more years for Dave!

Wow, since Sheriff Daniel came onto the scene, we have gone from almost never seeing patrol cars to seeing 2 or 3 every day. Looking forward to more deputies that are in the pipeline to get on board. Thanks Sheriff Daniel. We love what you brought to this county. WT Campbell

Well, all you gotta do is shake shake shake senora shake your body line then if you fall and you cant get up then itis proven you are a boomer

In 5 acre rural residential area, is there a time limit a resident is allowed to shoot guns? Also, if suspected of selling guns, is that legal out of home? Shooting terrifies my animals & annoys neighbors. Need advice. Thanks.

Not sure about the first one, but I can say that selling firearms out of a home is not illegal IF the seller has a F.F.L. and ALL the state and federal forms (Federal 4473)are filled out (N.I.C.S. approval number on the form) and properly filed as well as records of ALL transactions documented for the past. Also all firearms must be listed in an inventory book in a log with- make, model, caliber, serial number, and the F.F.L. number of whomever they received the firearms from.
