Didn't file my paperwork that I filled out with them. SSA had no record of any of it after 6 weeks or waiting, so I had to go back. Waited for 20 minutes in a line up front only to be told I had to check in at security first and get a ticket, and THEN get back in line. No signs stating this. As with any government agency, they've failed us.

Got there without an appointment at 2pm, left the place at 3pm with all my problems solved. The two security guard by the door were amazing, extremely helpful and friendly.

I have been waiting for months now for my new social security card after putting in the request to change my last name. They will not answer phone calls and I was on hold for over 20 minutes! They only sent me my marriage license back and said the were “working on my case”. I don’t understand how to get through to them.

This review is for the lady who took my call this morning and was by far the most helpful person I've talked to in relation to my social security card. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, but she took my call on 20 Sept 2021 at around 12:15pm. I had mailed all my forms and documents to change my name and fix my social security card 2 months ago and I just got them back saying that I needed to do more. Social security has had the wrong birthday for me for the last 3 years and I got married last year, so needed to fix these points. I was so frustrated as it took me 2 weeks to get a hold of someone virtually or on the phone, another month to even send the stuff in the first place, and 2 more months to get it sent back to me incomplete. I called hoping to make an appointment in person to save me the stress. I had never been able to get a hold of anyone at an office, so I feel I lucked out getting her. She was extremely helpful and courteous and helped me get scheduled for an appointment tomorrow to get my stuff sorted out! She was so nice and understanding and I really appreciated her help. I really wish I got her name because she deserves all the praise!

I want to submit my SSA-44 form with proof of income in order to obtain Medicare related Monthly adjustment Amount. On the form it says make an appointment. How do i make it?
I want to make an appointment to get Social security Award letter
Hey you guys. Hope all is well and Steve is recovering from his back surgery. Love Lynn / God Bless you
Yes
You need to call the 800 number to make an appointment. There is no local phone number for this location. Good luck!
Call the office or walk in and make the appt.
Go on their website, or call the 800 number for an appointment.
Online at ww.ssa.gov
Yeah it's best to call . went in to make an appointment waited outside for an hour before I got to check in . then it took me 3hours to get called.
No
It is very hard to get appointments, we tried calling multiple times but never worked. So we went directly to the office before 9am as it opens at 9am. Our work was done within 1 hour.
Don't know the answer. But is a walk in and you can ask that question to one of the clerk. No appointment needs
If doing things on-line is not your "thing" and if you are able to allot a morning for the task, you can setup an appointment or just walk-in to your local SSA office. A desk representative will be able to walk you through all the required paperwork to get your benefits started. (I've found Thursday mornings to be the least crowded.)
It is possible online but it is not mandatory.
Come in any local social security office with ID to update you address. You can also do this online.
No. They will not accept walk-ins. You have to call and make an appointment. Keep calling over and over even if you get a busy tone, even if it gets hung up. You’ll eventually get through.
No, You need to call and get the appointment, that's the only way currently.
As of right now due to covid you can only make appointment by phone call the number of the location you want to go.
Call the local ssa office to take an appointment.
Your social security card will be the same. No need to change. If you need to change your permanent resident card to US citizen, go to USCIS.gov website. All your needed information will be there.
Make a call for the admin and they can arrenge what you want
Call the number provided on the search page and check with them as in person visit is not possible
This office is currently closed. But you can go online and apply. https://www.ssa.gov/ You will receive a response by mail.
You have to drop it in person
Yes and a valid identification. After that it's about a 2 week wait for your replacement social security card
3 month waiting
Either call on the phone or go down to the social security
You are supposed to be able to call them and make an appointment
Yes
Yes
If you already have an open claim . If not make an appt
By phone or going into an office.
Either call or go down
You can call and they will give you an appt. Or you can just go down to the ss an wait your turn it's really not that bad if you go early in the morning
Either go down to an office or call
Just tell them that's how you want to set it up. But that is so dangerous to do as people can steal it and cash it. Your better off with direct deposit. Also the social security has a card that the can put it on and u can use it that way. That's how I use to do it. You can call there number any time of the day and they tell u your balance and any info u want.
It's simple. You can go in person or do it online. Fill out the form and bring: Evidence of age like a birth certificate or passport Evidence of identity like a drivers license or passport Evidence of citizenship Evidence of immigration status if not a citizen like an active green card. Takes less than 10 minutes
I don't know but you can call them and should be able to tell you
You can just go in and get a tag number. I waited like 30 min it was pretty fast.
Yes she will have to give info and ID and as #
Yes
As I understand, you can go to ssa.gov for appointments. Also, for any SSN Card related work, you need to walk in and wait. There are no appointments for that.
Google the customer service number and follow the prompt d to make your appointment
You can call but ull be on hold forever. You can try getting an appt through the internet, or by going down there. However if ur gonna go down just go down and take care of your business and get it over with.
Bring Id birth certificate, driver's license, job Id, etc. And go to ss office
Phone call
Call or go to an office to schedule an appt.
Take your drivers license or ID, credit card with your name and maybe a bill in your name. It will help if you know your ss #
Yes! Or, you can file online.
You can also call them but be prepared to be on hold for a long time.
Call or go into an office to make an appt.
After what happened to me today with someone saying he was fr the social security office and it was a fraud my advice is go in person !
You can only make appointments via the phone or by walking into an office and speaking to an agent. Only open M- F. Open half day on Wednesday.
No, just take the doc. into an office.
I look for the office closest to me in google and there it gives you locations and all the information you need to make an appointment by going to the ssa page
If you have an appointment it doesn't take long. Best bet is to get there 1/2 hour early .
If you call be prepared to be on for awhile and make sure u have all ur info in front of u . If you go down make sure u go either early morning 7 am to be online for the office to open or go around 1 pm. Also they are open only 1/2 day on Wednesday.
You can NOT make an appointment to go into the social security office with questions. You have to take a number and wait in line for your turn to see a social security office official in order to ask questions.
Call and find out!
Call them .... I went there , got a number , waited 2 1/2 hours and got an appointment . if you call then it should be quicker.
You can go on line and print any documents you want to submit. I have always done that first, filled them out and then arrive at the office of your choosing as early as possible. You will be called in order of arrival. You will be seen by a representative and of you need to come back they will make you an appointment. Or you can try and book one on line. Not sure what you desire to accomplish by going to this office. Applying for and receiving benefits are two different things. Most people go through a process of denial and appeals a minimum of 3 times. They hope you Will get discouraged and forget about it. But in case you decide to pursue your benefits after you have been denied. You have the option to get an attorney.
Every US citizen and legal resident should have social security card.
No
In my experience, you have to call the number on SS website and listen to some horrible music for hours on. I just go there close to their closing hour, get a number and wait to be called😀
Go into an office and sign a statement to withdraw as payee.
Call, or walk into the office to make an appt.
Go in with current ID.
An appointment is the best bet. You can walk in, but the wait can be several hours.
Go on to the SSA website
800.772.1213 or go in to the office and ask to make an appointment
You must call or go into the office.
No. Open 9-4 Monday thru Friday except Wednesday, 9-12.
You need to speak with a representative either by phone or in person. Anything anyone tells you outside of that would only be a guess. I strongly recommend that you speak to a representative to make sure you get the most accurate information that applies to you.
Call the 800#, or go into the office. You can't make an online appt.
Unless you are receiving Social security benefit, there is no need to update your address. The most recent address on your tax return will be put into SSA's database.
Kevin is spot on. You need to update your status with SSA.
By phone or going into an office to schedule one.
You should make an appointment and go in.
Best day to try for a walk in, would be Tues. or Thurs.
No, you can call the 800 #, or walk in to make an appt. only.
You can call for an appointment or you can make an appointment online but usually you'll have to wait about 2 or 3 weeks.
Make the appointment online or call for an appointment.
Yes, you can make an appointment online. You can also call to make an appointment.
Yes you can walk in.
Call or come into the office. You can't make an appt online.
