The great thing about Pini is, if they don't have it, you probably don't need it. They have always been so helpful & even when it appears that the person approaching you to help seems like they won't know.... They do!!!!! The only thing I'd say, which I've gotten over long ago is that it is pricy, but they always have what I need and it's right here in town. I don't have to drive out of the area to get what I need and when you're on the job that saves a lot of time. Time is money!

One of the last great hardware stores left in the north bay. Update: I'm not changing my review post, but I am adding some detail. I needed to find a specific type of spring and screw and the loose hardware room in the back was so fascinating I think I went through every aisle and bin. Also, you do not have to go more than 10 steps before someone will ask you, "Can I help you?" and it's always sincere. I always enjoy my time when I visit their store.

What can I say about Pini's that everyone doesn't already know? It is not only the best hardware store in Marin, but quite possibly the best store period. There is a reason it has been a Novato staple for so long and why everyone shops here: the staff. I've been shopping here for 20 years and some of the employees have been working at Pini's longer than that. Everyone here is knowledgeable and friendly.The floor staff knows where everything is and offers super valuable advice with whatever project I need help with. The checkers are always friendly and genuinely seem to be happy working here. I really can't say enough about this store, but thank you Pini's, for being such a service oriented establishment and maintaining such consistently high standards.
