I was very impressed by Sutter Urgent care on Milvia in Berkeley. No appointment was necessary, the wait was short and i was seen by competent and professional nursing staff and Dr. Manijeh Ghasemi Varnamkhasti. She listened to my account of the condition which brought me to the clinic and quickly and accurately diagnosed it. I had met her once before and was very happy to see her again as i liked her and respected her friendly manner and competence. I'd never been to Sutter Urgent Care until i went there to have my first Covid vaccination. It's a great resource when one needs care quickly and competently.

The wait time was very long (close to an hour) and confusing, as there was only one doctor on duty. A physician finally appeared (after multiple other staff showed up and disappeared and could not forecast how long the wait would actually be). After that, the care was fine. But a better wait system would be desirable.

I came to this Urgent Care facility because I had a splinter in my right thumb from an old, wood railing. My wife could not remove it with tweezers, and it was painful to have her try. The staff was courteous, helpful, and thorough. I had no complications. The whole procedure took longer than I would have liked, but I was in no danger, and other patients may well have needed more immediate attention.

My Doctor sent me here to evaluate my respiratory status. Went through the outdoor respiratory clinic. Nurse's and Dr. Jackson were great. Didn't have to wait long. They also did a Covid test. Compassionate and kind x ray tech walked me into facility to get my test. Results back quickly. Dr. Jackson ordered meds which were ready at Walgreens as we drove home. Whole event (door to door) took less than 90 minutes. I have my meds and very satisfied with the service. Highly recommend this team!
