It is nice that I got a free upgrade to suit. The room is spacious with semi devined sitting area and bedroom. Shower water is hot and big. The entire room décor is very old and feels not sparkling clean. But the bedding and linen looks white and clean. Price wise, it's a good purchase.

Paper thin walls and creaky bed springs every time you roll over. The lobby has been renovated to look nice, but the rooms are a bit dated, dirty, and continued to have a strong chemical smell over the two days I was there. The paper thin walls are what got me though. I could hear my neighbors as clear as day while they spoke at a normal volume in the adjacent room. 2/5. Would not recommend.

This place is misrepresented by its pictures. It was marketed as three star. That is inaccurate. Overall it's old and unclean. The floor of my room was deeply scratched. The air conditioning intake was so filthy I couldn't bear to stand underneath it. I wiped it down with a towel. The price is highly overinflated even for the area. The quality is motel 6 standard. The outside is also run down, not beautiful like the pictures.

Redecorated rooms and outside paint cannot disguise the fact that this was once a standard motel with doors opening to the outside and cars parked along the downstairs rooms. Note, this hotel also has a multi-story tower but I did not stay in that section and cannot comment on those accommodations. The furnishings are nice and of high quality but there is no outside window, unless you do not mind people looking into your room as they walk by. The room, as expected, was clean and comfortable, but you do get some muted outside noise from the San Jose airport. I never heard any noise from the neighboring rooms, but I do not know if they were empty or not. The breakfast bar in the restaurant has a good selection of your typical breakfast offerings, but above average quality. If you are lucky the buffet will be included in your room rate, otherwise it is $20. Note, the restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. For dinner in the hotel your only option is the bar, which has a decent, but somewhat limited, menu - don't expect any nightly dinner specials here. The food was uninspiring and overcooked. For dinner, my suggestion is to eat elsewhere. Undoubtedly I will be back, as it is close to my company's local office. If the company books me here again I will not be upset.

Some rooms have it. Even lockers are present in some rooms only. Please ask before check in.
Well, there's literally no area tagged "safe smoking area", but i saw a few persons, the days i stayed, smoking outside of the room in an open roof space somewhere in the hotel.

It is around 3 to 4 miles.
That's correct. There is a taxi service called Checkered Cab, but I found that UBER was much cheaper after using both services while staying there.
