Living in Baytown there aren't many authentic Mexican restaurants or taco trucks in the area. We googled around the area and decided to try Texas Tacos in Highlands. I must say its a hidden little gem. We passed it up the first time but sure glad we found it. Cute lil cozy spot, food was really good. My husband is picky when it comes to fajita and theirs passed his test lol There is a nice covered area for seating, tables were clean and a lil spot that's inside with ac too. The owner was super friendly, even sat with us asked if it was our first time and told us a little about the business. I was sad to hear at this time they are only opened Sat/Sun but we def will be hitting this place up often.

I'm a chef from Ohio visiting family. Me and my partner were craving tacos. To us taco trucks are always 🔥 and what we are looking for when it comes to good ingredients and great food. This place however...blew my tastebuds away with a powerful punch of flavor and amazing personality. The owner of this establishment has put his soul into it and you can tell with every mouthful. I tip my hat to you sir. This family business I see sticking around for years to come.
