Horrible. Defensive, disorganized and misleading. Leanne is the rudest one. Try asking for anything for your HOA. You will never get it. Property is neglected and communication is completely absent.

I've never had a more frustrating experience with applying for an apartment. I rarely opt to give negative reviews of anything, but in this case I really want to save someone else the trouble of what my roommate and I went through with these people as an applicant. Do not bother with them, even if it seems like it's your only option If you're reading this, the bottom line is that you will NOT be the exception if they are making you jump through hoops. All of the negative reviews are true and I don't even think prospective landlords should work with SLPM because it enables them to con people who aren't as well off as them. We spent about two months fighting and calling every day just to just get responses to our application status by the end of a week. You will be ignored. They will only waste your time and your application fee money. It's hard to conceive of people who could be worse, assuming it's not deliberate, at their jobs (minus the front desk lady she's doing her best). I do not understand it and you shouldn't have to make sense of it either.

Steve Francois really pulled through. He was very cordial and professional to interact with when it came to liaising with our potential landlord. Now we've gotten our dream rental through his efforts! Max, their maintenance/field service associate, has also been amazing when it came to addressing items that needed attention prior to our move-in. He was very thorough when answering our questions about the property and scope of maintenance. Lastly, shout out to Arianna for being so stellar at front desk!

Letting SLPM Property Management work with me was the best decision I made regarding my financial portfolio. I have a 10 unit complex in West Oakland and dealing with the tenants was taking my time, and handling evictions personally was not going to happen. I showed up for one eviction and the judge ruled in favor of a tenant that was definitely wrong. Arguing with people that should have been raised better is not worth my time. I tasked SLPM with getting all my rents up to date and PAID. Gary worked with me to legally get the bad players on their way without having court, and getting solid people in their place. Gary made specific recommendations to improve the property which I had my guys do. The changes allowed us to charge more for each apartment and avoid getting more bad tenants. RECOMMENDED

Hi Lakeysha! Many factors go into the approval process. They include your debt to income level, your employment stability, the amount of deposit, co-signers and host of other factors. Each individual is unique and we do work with tenant applicants that have had past credit issues. If you would like to speak to an account specialist prior to submitting an application, please call us at (510) 569-0722 x121. Good luck and thank you for your excellent question!
Thanks for the question Carolyn! Assuming you already are in a SLPM managed property, you would apply for the new property using our online portal or visiting our office. Once approved, our staff would coordinate processing your 30 day notice for your existing residence and the move-in for your new property.
All available units are listed on the website. www.slpm.com
I am sorry Sandy, that property is currently off the market.
SLPM will accept a guarantor.
