My local post office has failed me big time. I trusted them for an overnight shipment. They lost it! Can’t track it. Brand new passport and social security card! How easy is it to replace those? Use Fed Ex, not USPS!

Don't come here if you want a padded flat-rate envelope; they are never stocked. You will wait in line for 15min, they will look around for them, they won't find any. They should have a giant sign outside letting everyone know they don't have padded flat-rate envelopes, don't waste your time here. Not sure why they need to be stored behind the counter, maybe high school kids steal them to get high.

My husband and I mail our passports for renewal we have an emergency and we need to travel internationally. after 2 weeks my husband got his new passport and I didn’t get mine. I called the passport renewal place and they ask me for the tracking number when They checked it shows that it was delivered on my PO. box a week ago which is a lie. very disappointed.

Most likely the changes the new Postmaster General put into place have slowed the service significantly. Also, go online a verify that office is still open. There have been closures.

Yes, but it depends on the postal worker and how willing they are to help you. And if they can find the package after it has been posted. I have seen it done before
As long as you show the proof of your 2 IDs, with your resident address, you can get the PO box immediately. The time to process depends how busy the location is. The price for the small box when I got it, was $46 for 6 months, and you will receive a set of 2 keys. You should stop by/call to check the availability.
