I need a full refunded or at least a partial because of how business was handled with me both the staff at the hotel and customer service on Booking.com when trying to deal with the dilemma we encounter at after i had purchased ticket here. We arrived several hours early from flight and wanted to check in early, it was about 4am and had already purchased room so when i called to see if we could check-in early woman on the phone said we had to purchase another night in order for that to happen. I said I did not want to do that and I should be able to I’ve done it before checking in early. She kept persisting that the manager wasn’t no there and no one else on staff at the time had authority to decide what was okay and to make that decision so she had to do what was said to be done by manager’s rules at the hotel. I said I wanted a refund at which she said that’s not allowed due to you had already purchased the ticket... Okay I said well how much would another room be? She said 83 dollars and I was like you are making me pay for another night when it’s a couple hours I am showing up early for my room?! It was early and partner was tired and getting upset about the whole thing so I just did it thinking I would deal with this when we check out. When we came to checking out, It was manager and his wife that said policy is policy so no refund for you.. I just left infuriated and now brought me to writing Bookings.com, Google, and other Platforms with the Social 411’s people what to know.. I will not forget during this stay there was no coffee machine at all to use both in room and in lobby when we first checked in. The refrigerator in room did not work so all the food we had brought with use we had to toss out so that left us without food to eat and 75 dollars more had to be spent to feed us while we stayed. Along with no microwave so we had to purchase only fast food which my partner was very upset about because of their food restrictions and leaving them without much to eat. To top it all off during this time of quarantine we as a nation have been facing, there was the microwave in the lobby that we and EVERYONE ELSE could use.. WE SHARING CARONAVIRUS NOW TOO!!! I am extremely irate because of this situation and I would like someone whom knows how to resolve this situation and can help bring me to a resolution of some kind.

After a very long trip my partner and I were made to sit outside for an hour. There were some very comfortable seats in the lobby that we were not allowed to sit at. The man made us wait while he checked in other guests who arrived after us. Our room needed a lot of maintaining and I would not even touch the blanket- I threw it on the floor across the room. All around not a great experience here.

May stay here was, for the most part a great experience. The room was not only very clean and smelled nice, but also the interior design was tasteful. Especially for a low-budget motel. Most of the staff were respectful, however some weren't. One of the employees working there came to my room banging on the door and told me " It's time to check out. The sooner the better." It was only one staff member as opposed to the rest of them. So, I gave them 4 stars because respect and professionalism is very scarce in Portland, OR. Also, a lot of the tenants looked very shady and violent, but the motel staff can't help that. But overall, may stay was actually pleasant

What is this 100.00 deposit upon check in?

Well they didn't mention it when I booked online, I was just told as I was getting the key, that's was the only downer that I wasn't told in advance. But it wasn't even withdrawn from my account so that was nice. I understand why they did it but there should have been a notice or something in advance not be told that it was already taken out.

It is not. The chestnut is currently housing homeless people which is awesome! However what comes with most (not all) homeless people? Mental illness, drugs, sketchiness and they plain ol do not believe any rules apply to them. The area has not been safe for a good 7-8 years now and has only declined

how much it is to cancela reservation?

There is a $100 deposit if you use cash. Idk if there is w/ a credit or debit card. I don't think it's to hold a reservation, I think it's based on the condition you leave the room bc the owner ran up and peeped the room before he gave us our 100 back after our 3 day stay. The benefit of chestnut over Ramada across the street is chestnut has smoking rooms.
