Such a beautiful forest!! Amazing views and lots of wonderful places to check out! Great forest bounty to be found...ENJOY! Be sure to swing into the Forest Sevice office located at 431 Patterson Brodhe Road in John Day for information, use permits, maps, and a whole lot of useful information about the area!

The views are beautiful. Very dry so no fires of any kind. Just peaceful place to be. Going back for another weekend.

Absolutely beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. Some of the wildlife include elk, deer, black bear, cougar, antelope, coyotes, hawk, bald eagle, grouse, and wild turkey.
