I have been going there for years always ALWAYS been satisfied but today was a terrible experience. My $24 cheese burger tasted like old meat, the onions were definitely not sliced fresh as they had zero taste, the cheese on my burger was not melted, the poppers were cold.. and ta boot we were there for an hour and a half for lunch part of that was a 20 minute wait for our check… I wonder if COVID has gutted their experienced staff… I spent over $100 for a lunch that wasn’t as good as the $13 square burger fast food joint I stopped at on the way home!!

Beware of Server #17 - a tall, middle-aged woman with short dark hair who is a thief. We were there last week. She altered the 20% tip we left on the credit card slip - increasing it by $10. She obviously thinks that people don't check their credit card statement regularly and that she'd get away with it. Well, we do and noticed it the next day. We called, and were told by the person who answered the phone and pulled our credit card slip, "She increased the amount of your tip. We're a family run business and don't have the ability to refund credit cards." Huh? - and no apology at all?? The owner/one of the owner's called us back and sent a photo-screened shot of the credit card slip and it is clear that the tip was written over by another person's handwriting. He told us he can "try" to get us our money back (try? So, he admitted Server #17 stole from us). We told him you've got a much bigger problem with a thief working for you. So, just beware, ask for an itemized receipt and check your credit card statement within 24/48 hours - especially if you get the tall, middle-aged, dark-haired Server #17. Better yet, just don't go there. There are so many better places around the lake where you won't be a victim of credit card fraud. My apologies to all the other workers there who are most likely honest, wonderful, hard working people. I don't mean to throw shade on them. I know this place has been there forever and people love it, but it just takes one to ruin it for all. If they fire the thief #17 all should be well. The owner defended her pretty hard even after admitting she altered our tip... maybe she's related to the family?

Our first visit. We had a 5pm reservation for the deck and, even though we were 9 minutes early, we were seated almost immediately. Our server, Nicki, came to get our drink order in mere minutes and was super attentive during our visit. My fiancé had the warm spinach salad with roasted duck breast and I had the seafood risotto. Both were fantastic. Nicki was great and i highly recommend a visit. 5 out of 5 stars.

Awesome....as it always is! Great place to recharge after a Mount Major hike! I highly recommend the Lobster 🦞 roll or my favorite...the Julia's Chicken Salad sandwich. Shibleys' servers make it a great experience.

Yes you can and i recommend a reservation this time of year or you might wait a long time to get a table. Ask to reserve a table on the deck which is right on the water of Alton Bay.
No
They are open from 11am-9pm 7 days a week including Mondays
I just went by, they seem still closed, I would bet soon.
As I recall, they do shut down for a short period in the winter.
No not that I can remember seeing.
Not sure I was just posting a review
Yes, as long as Alton Bay is frozen.
