Our car died on the way to Reno to see Blood Sweat and Tears, we made it back to Roseville in limp mode to the Hyundai dealership and rented another little Hyundai Hybrid they had nothing available but we're able to find us a car... The trip was a great time photos of Hot August Nights

Friend needed a rental. They were helpful. Busy but they got us into a great car with an upgrade since there wasn't many to choose from. They even washed the car for us before we left the lot.

I was sent to Enterprise by BMW while my car was in the shop. The car I was given had clearly not been sanitized, just sprayed with Lysol (it smelled horrible, like a Motel 6 that had been smoked in for the last 20 years) and the tank was on empty. The windshield wipers were old and just smeared water across the windshield and the tires underperformed in the rain, spinning out/squealing every time I accelerated from a full stop. The manager, Sammy, was very professional and helpful and upgraded me for the rest of the time, She apologized that I had been given a car in that condition but it doesn’t change the fact that I was given a car in that condition. To not properly sanitize a car these days just isn’t acceptable. To give me a car that hasn’t been safety checked (tires and windshield wipers) is just negligent. I appreciated Sammy’s professionalism and attempts to fix the situation, and suggested she’d be better off working for a more ethical company. I will not be coming back to Enterprise.

My rental experience was less than stellar. I was in need of a vehicle with a little room in it, I called the first enterprise facility and asked for a small SUV, I was told they did not have any for rent at this time. I called the next closes store and was told, Yes, we have one and that I could rent it. When I arrived, there was not only no small SUV, but no cars at all for rent. There was 3 that were being cleaned. I was in a hurry so I asked if I could get into one of those, and the employee that was helping me made sure to accommodate me. He actually went out and helped clean the vehicle as he knew I was in a hurry. The employee was great, but the experience of being promised a vehicle and showing up and not having one was not. Kudos to the Roseville employee, shame on enterprise and their system of rentals.

You have to call the specific location. Generally not, but if they do, there is a deposit that may be held and other criteria you have to meet for them to accept. You can hold with major cc but pay with debit upon return however.
If you call them, they usually can tell you what's available. For example I wanted to rent a Charger and they'd tell me what cars they had in stock for that class of vehicle (sometimes they did, other times it would be a Malibu or Altima)
I like to use Enterprise car rentals. Pick up request times work best when you request them about an hour in advance -- unless it is a really busy day like the day after Christmas, etc. On days like that good luck getting a rep on the phone in under 2 hours. But they did eventually answer after 3 calls--I kept getting their recording and then was cut off the first two tries after about 20 minutes of waiting both times. Once I finally spoke to a person I was picked up within the next 20 minutes though.
Hell they charge me a 200 dollar deposit to use a credit card.
