Not a bad park for one next to a city. There is some green but mostly concrete. It is a good view of the water and National Harbor stands out in the distance. There are plenty of things for kids to do there and I saw a lot of elderly walking around. Watch out for the people on bikes. I see they can rent in Old Town and then ride for miles down to Mount Vernon (George Washington's home).

Beautiful place to watch airplane landing and fishing and walking.

Went down today for the first time, my walk was nice and the view was great. Learned new things and will keep walking that area. Cannot wait to see it in spring.

Super cool park to walk around with some cool history, too. Definitely a surplus of areas to explore - I’ve only been there once, just visiting, but it was clear that there’s always a spot to just sit and enjoy nature by yourself. There are multiple areas to fish, a few basketball courts, a playground, bike paths, and I’m sure much more that I didn’t run into. Would totally recommend!

Yes
Definitely. It is not a big place requiring lots of walking. The views are spectacular, and if you are in to history, then it is a win-win-win.
It has a few playgrounds, plenty of bike paths, a basketball court, and I think even a volleyball area. Just beware that it does encompass the shoreline with the Potomac.
Jones Point Park is administered by the National Park Service, so you will need to go through them for permits and reservations. NPS tends to be more restrictive than local jurisdictions. https://www.nps.gov/gwmp/planyourvisit/permitsandreservations.htm
You have to take that up with Alexandria parts department.
