Stopped by James Hook & Co on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. The crab roll and clam chowder were both delicious. I ordered from the truck window and my food came out in under 10 minutes. Most of the seating seemed to be outside but the patio had a good amount of tables, a shaded tent and a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely would visit the next time I'm in town.

It has The best lobsters in town.. very fresh and off water just before you eat it. It can get really crowded and long lines so be there before it peaks. Nice seating area outside with tents and benches. The food is very expensive but tastes great. Order regular roll and have butter shared. Nice place and great location. Have good merch as well.

Anyone we've asked around, this place was consistently mentioned in the Top 3, so we definitely prioritized it and glad we did. We went on a Friday afternoon, right after we did the Harvard tour and the Harvard Museum of Natural History so we were pretty excited, plus it was a sunny (but windy day!). Initially went for the truck and it was a bit confusing because I thought we could also order there but he then said to order inside and he's just a truck. Anyway, went inside and saw the live lobsters which were super cool. My husband and I both ordered the large hot lobster rolls with butter, a small cup of clam chowder and a crab cake to share plus 2 sodas. The lobster rolls alone were $38 each so yep it adds up pretty quickly. Come prepared. :) After around 10 mins of so or wait which we honestly didn't mind, we went outside to soak up all the sun and enjoy our food. The lobster rolls were good but I felt it wasn't really particularly tasty, almost lacking in flavor. However you have the hot butter and the lobster meat was pretty generous, so I'd still say it's worth it. We actually ended up really enjoying the chowder as it was delicious. The crab cake was okay, we asked for lemon and once we drizzled some on it, it was so much better. Overall, it's in pretty good location too and seems to be one of the local favorites to get your lobster and chowder fix. :)

Amazing! I searched and searched to find one of the best Lobster Rolls in Boston and this place kept coming up. I also read on a forum that locals love this place as well. If the locals love it, then that’s how you know! I’ve never seen a Lobster Roll have so much meat…this thing was stuffed! And the bread…the bread was buttery and soft! It was SO good! Definitely a must if you’re in Boston!
