Mercedes service department charged me $1,188 to install a dash cam. Was told it would be roughly $300. $750 just to run 1 wire from the front to the back. What a rip-off

I may not have bought a Mercedes, but I sure was treated like someone who did. Kenton took really good care of me and my husband buying our 2018 Spark. I had the worst customer service experience ever! My daughter's car went in for a "Service B" that is recommended by the dealer. We live near Table Rock Lake and their policy is they have "no loaner cars" for their clients (my dealer offers loaners, so it is still a thing...even post Covid despite what they say). She spent the first night at a friend's house bc the car wasn't completed and at 4 p.m. the following day, she was informed her car still won't be ready. I called the service dept and asked if there were any options (since it is 4:15 and I would need to drive an hour and a half to pick her up). Jason was irritated and rude and when questioned why they didn't know earlier in the day so we could make arrangements told me "we don't make enough money for the hassle this work is" Quite honestly, what they charge is their business and their recommended service lists...I"m not sure how that was my fault or problem. I was not only speechless --but dumbfounded to find out that Jason is The Manager of the Service Department. I would warn anyone used to a luxury car dealership to NOT go to Elite Automotive Group to buy a car or have your current car serviced if you value your time and expect the very baseline level of customer service. You will not find it at Elite.

We are not a Smart car dealer, so our resources are limited. We can perform maintenance items, but most repairs will need to go to a Smart car dealership.
In order to keep both our staff and customers safe, we are diligent about making sure our dealership follows COVID protocols and guidelines. Each morning, our team must go through a temperature check to ensure they don't come to work with a fever. Throughout the day, all of our staff are required to wear a mask while up from their desks or working with a customer anywhere in the dealership. Every vehicle is wiped down and sanitized after each test drive. Let us know if you have any other questions!
We can do some maintenances. If it's under warranty, it has to go to a Smart dealer.
