We made three different phone calls for rentals in the Stowe area. The first two said no to dogs in the “kiddie carriage” (one was gruff and the other said something about hygiene :o). The MoutainOps folks had no issues with us putting our 14 year old beagle in the basket! Thanks for letting us do this - it was greatly appreciated (he came a long way - from Florida!). Nice and friendly crew - both helpful and outgoing!

Wow! If you are looking for a place that is conveniently located right on the Stowe Recreation Path, where you'll find help getting outfitted with bikes for the family without feeling like you're being pushed to spend more, and you like receiving TOP customer service, this is the place to go. I was blown away by our positive experience here and can confidently recommend this place to anyone in need of bike rentals or mountain gear. My brother recommended this place to me based on his trips to this area and I'm happy to pass on the recommendation. Look no further than MountainOps!

MountainOps has a lot of great gear and very helpful employees. Unfortunately, the management is focused more on my wallet than my loyalty. I went here specifically for alpine touring gear on a recommendation from a friend. Robby did an excellent job with his knowledge and his patience as my boot fitter. I ended up buying an $800 pair of boots and $60 foot beds (plus tax). Although they told me on the phone when I called before my visit that adjustments are free, the shop still decided to charge me to adjust my bindings. I was promised them by 10 am the next morning, although I said I didn’t need them until 2 pm. When I stopped by around 2 pm to retrieve them, the shop had not started on them. In fact, they were irritated that I even expected them to have been completed at any point that day, stating the order came in late the day before. It was at this point they were told the order came in late because it was part of a $950 purchase made the evening before. They completed the service later that day, which required a trip back after I had already planned to be on the road. In summary, they have a good supply and knowledgable staff. What they don’t have is my loyalty. Expect good service and also expect them to charge for every line item they can.

Can’t recommend enough. Jason was awesome. Came into town and wasn’t expecting to get new setups for my wife and I. I knew going in what I wanted, and helped to get my wife fitted for her boots. Selection of telemark gear is awesome, and having people who are also rippers on tele skis who can help out and suggest an awesome setup! They got them mounted and setup before we left town, and were awesome the whole time. 10/10. Would get gear from again!
