Beautiful park. The oldest park in Boston. The frog pond in the winter is a ice skating rink. My daughter's highlights of her vacation were skating on that rink.

I had so much fun and it was my very first time to enter ice rink. My friend encouraged me to try ice skating. At first, I was so hesitant coz I think I was too old to do it and I don't think I could balance myself but thanks for her encouragement I was able to challenge myself.

Frog pond was good, but crowded and of course water not as sanitary. Wish it was chlorinated. My daughter went in and her eyes were a bit red. If going in, wear shoes and don't put whole body in the water. Animals are going in there too so be careful. The park next to frog pond was nice.
For street parking, sometimes there's a parking spot but most of the time no, depends how busy it gets on the weekends. To avoid getting tickets or tow you better off parking your car at the garage. There's garage down the street from frog pond.
Go online search for
"parking garage near frog pond" you'll get more information including the parking garage price. 🙂
Does anyone know if the Pond is open today, Monday, President's Day?

The Frog Pond here in Boston is a great place to spend a snowy day off. Starting today, they are offering free ice skating to the public. The free admission does include skates. The Frog Pond opens at 10 a.m. today and tickets are on a first come first serve basis. You are also right by the Freedom Trail if you’re up for a walk today.
Is there parking?

Yes so there is a parking garage that enters at the south of the park and goes actually underground under the commons. On weekends it's only about $14 bucks for 2 hours I think I paid $16 for 3 hrs. You can also try parking on the street, like Trenmont st. But with there being No parking signs everywhere I didnt want to chance it and chose to park in the garage.
Will it be open this sunday during the snow? 1/20/19

What sizes does the adult skates range from? If you are above 58 inches, are you considered to be an “adult”

If you are under 5 feet you count as a child. Not sure of the biggest size they have but they range from 5 to at least 10.
how long is the season? When does ice skating end this year?
I think that it is probably open today. The ice is refrigerated so it does not need to be freezing outside for it to stay frozen. I think that the inclement weather is in reference to precipitation more than above normal temperatures.
Admission: 6$ for 58"+ and free for below 58"
Rentals: Adult- 12$ kids-6$
More details at their site here:
https://bostonfrogpond.com/winter-programs/pricing-season-passes/
The admission price is based on a skater's height. If a skater is 58 inches or taller, the price is $6
Skate Rental is also available if needed. Adults can rent skates for $12 and kids are charged $6 for skates. Lockers are also available for $4
The rink features a cafe as well. Prices for items as posted.
How much doesn’t it cost to skate and for how long?

Dustin Crossman | Aug 25, 2018
Admission for anyone over 58" tall is $6
Skate rentals are $12 for set of skates
You can stay and skate until the rink closes at night.
Light refreshments are available from the cafe as well as public restrooms
Single use lockers are available. You purchase a token from the entrance gate and can store your belongings safely inside until you're ready to leave. I must emphasize that is single use. If you open the locker you will need to purchase another token to lock it again
What are your busiest times of day for Sundays?
Is there often a wait just to get on the ice because of a crowd?

Think it depends on the day and weather the ice rink is busy every day not just Sundays it's very popular.
Can you skate for awhile grab a lunch and then skate some more
Mark Lachapelle | Aug 25, 2018
Dustin Crossman | Aug 25, 2018
You pay for entry to the rink. There is access to bathrooms, lockers (pay per use) and a cafe that serves a light menu. If you leave the fenced in area you must pay again to enter. Skate rentals are not permitted outside of the fence limit.
