I loved working with Cat Rescue of Marlboro and Hudson! We recently at the beginning of the month adopted our snuggly kitten Lilly and she is just a dream! Everything about the adoption process was easy and the volunteers I spoke to and met with were so nice and knowledgeable!

Be aware if your looking to Adopt from this shelter they will check *every bit of Vet History. I had two cats one lived to be 20 and the other 14, both died in a year but had wonderful lives as indoor cats with plenty of care and attention . I got rejected because didn’t get yearly Check -Ups at their Vet ..can you say not understanding of *past Financial Hardships?..didn’t just take not them because I was lazy , not a choice and always employed . They did go to the Vet when they were sick , didn’t suffer and just let them get weaker and weaker . As soon as I noticed one not eating brought her in that ended up being Kidney disease and the other one had Heart Disease that I thought was only a simple wheeze unfortunately. Their very picky considering all of the Homeless Cats , glad other Shelters are looking at my Cat *experience and this one didn’t waste my time giving me a Tour only to reject . “Adopt a cat for good “Carmah”..try giving potential Adopters a chance that would give these shelter cats a loving home .

I’m in the process of having Carmah help me neuter a stray cat that lives near my house. I reached out to them when I heard they provide this service (trap, neuter and release). I’d been feeding and sheltering a male stray and worried if I contacted animal control that the cat might be euthanized. I ended up contacting Carmah. I can not say enough good things about my experience. An appointment was set up for the cat to get neutered and in the meantime, a volunteer came over and helped me set up a trap. When the cat was caught, the volunteer was over to pick him up within minutes. While awaiting his surgery he is in foster care where he’s been observed by the volunteer under the vet’s supervision. Some cats are deemed to be potentially adoptable at this point. When he has his surgery he’ll also have an exam and get all his shots by carers and vets who do all of this for FREE. Yes. Literally. When his surgery is finished this weekend he’ll be returned to my yard and he’ll be healthier overall and happier. Help spread the word that trapping, neutering and releasing is so important! Thank you, Brittany and Becky and team for being absolutely amazing.
