Really nice, clean, green, open, large park near downtown Boston, beacon hill and back bay. Suitable for walks, jogging , reading , relaxing and pick nicks. Ponds and walk paths available inside green/grass spaces. Smoothies/drinks/shakes and fast food street canteens and canteen trucks available. Statues and halls:places for cultural events (concerts, theater performances, etc) available. Subway station (park street - green line) in park available. Restaurants, bars and fast food places all around the park. Next to Newbury street. Giving it 4 stars because at late hours (after evening) or around the subway station, creeps and public nuisance small crowds are present. They are unpleasant and they make tourists/passers by afraid. More police/ cleaning is needed at later hours and at the park area with these people.

Boston Common should not be confused with Boston Public Gardens, which is right next to it. Boston Common is more likely to have homeless hanging around that the gardens and it also has no flower displays. It is more like a city green space than the public gardens beside it. That being said, you can easily walk around the Commons in 30 minutes, and the Commons/Public garden in an hour. It is centrally located which can make the green space a nice break from the surrounding city. Beneath Boston Common is a parking garage. The red line T also drops you off below the park. The visitors center is nice and clean with a public restroom and souvenirs you can buy. There is also a playground for kids. There is also to do surrounding the park so it is a good jumping off point if you want to explore the Freedom trail, walk along Boylston street etc. The commons also has events, plays are put on here, protests are held, movie nights etc. As mentioned it is utilized best as a gathering/even space with the Gardens next door being the nice, quiet, pretty attraction.

Awesome park to walk around, hang or go on the little boats. Gets busy specially on holidays so hard to use as a place to bike or exercise on the paved areas. Fancy stores near by. Also lots of restaurants and starbucks. Pictures on memorial day weekend 2022.

So much to discover here. Easily accessible, and you can even buy parking online so you can use a QR code to scan on and out of the underground garage. The park is rich with monuments, open space, lakes, bridges, vendors, and more. You are tucked in the heart of the city and food and coffee is a quick walk away. Great place to run, relax, or bring the family. Stop by!

Depends on your level. I'd buy some toys from Cricket before coming here.😉
5 pm definitely
Magical ducks?
No free parking, but there's the Boston common garage and meter parking. The Boston common garage have the cheapest rates in the area.
It was pumpkin float for halloween, activities for children. Boston common has activities for all ages.
I volunteer for an inner city youth program in Boston we have youth volunteers
There are two bathrooms. One at the visitor center and a much bigger one at the frog pond. Or use one of the shops on tremont street
No, it doesn't..you must get a permit for the event and bring your own generators
You should call the bus co. On that
For homeless people, yes.

I think so
The Commons is next to a dense shopping area with many stores and independent push cart type vendors. It's also about a mile or so from Fanuiel Hall which is three buildings of stores and restaurants.
It's a great place to visit. It is very scenic You'll have to take the silver line bus from the airport into Boston.
There are lots of free maps of streets and major sites are free in every quality hotel and restaurant, for anyone. The downtown area, around Commons, is central to most historical sites, especially around Commons. Maybe good idea to pay for half day tour. I depended on maps and Lyft drivers, did fine. Good luck, beautiful city, so rich is American historical sites. Found wonderful coffee place, "Thinking Cup, " across street from Commons, close to golden dome of capital.
The duck boats are actually in the Public Gardens...adjacent to the Commons.
The park area is for people and animals so u can bring ya dog all ova the park the squriells come up to u if u feed em too
Great but busy fenced in Toddler to preteen playground next to frogpond/icerink
The fireworks at Boston Common, which was at 7PM has been cancelled. Though the fireworks at Boston harbor will be at midnight.
