The staff treated my grandmother and I in such a kind and caring manner while helping us get through a very difficult matter. We applaud them for their hard work

This office is set up so you are giving your person private information (during verification) in front of everyone. No one should be asked for their personal information in front of visitors. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ The entire experience left me feeling like. I just left all information for identification fraud.

Respectfully this office should be shut down and rebuilt with better workers who has respect and a better work ethic that is out of this world. The amount of disrespect is beyond me. It’s mind boggling how I was told to get a job not knowing my situation. Sorry not sorry you was told about yourself. No one is Exempt. When you do wrong to others understand that it comes back to you ten fold. Stop being fraudulent….. sooner than later Corporate will be involved and so will HR. My god is an in-just god and vengeance is his 🙏🏽

I would like to express how unprofessional the customer service representative’s are at this office. I’ve called on multiple occasions to explain my situation to them but it seems as though No one knows what they are talking about nor do they know how to be professional dealing with concerns and or questions about my case. Not only was I degraded as an individual, for lack of better words I was also talked to as if I was under them. If I’m expressing to you how I feel about your costumer service there would be no need for you to get defensive unless it was true. It’s sad that I have unreasonable expectations for the workers to respect me as I’ve shown respect to them. I was told to never call the office again about money that I’m owed due to the lack of knowledge they have dealing with ones case. Communication is key when it comes to conversing with your team of workers but I’m always getting different stories and answers to my questions. So with that being said if you don’t like the job you do I would suggest finding something that better fits your everyday inquiry because conversing with humans is definitely something they all lack.

If you haven't already had this question answered, you have to go in to an office with at least an id. It also depends on if you're changing the name on it or just getting a replacement.
During the pandemic appointments are given by calling the local office number. Google has the numbers.

It's appointment ONLY when I was there. Wear your mask! They didn't allow walk-ins.
Most likely go into the SS office to complete such transaction as you want to keep your account information very secure and make sure it reaches the correct person. Hope this helps! Eboni S.
You have to go on and apply. It takes about three weeks to get the card. But they give you a print out you can use until then
Call them on a Monday and make an appointment. Sometimes the hold time can be awhile but it's better then the west Ashley office.
Appointments only

If your receiving SSI report wages monthly by the 5th of the month. Fax or mail them is best. Sometimes the app doesn't work correctly.
Annette Brown if you owe social security for an over payment then yes they will take your tax return. If there is anything left from your return after the over payment you will receive the remainder.
Yes. Make sure to bring a state or federal issued ID. Wait times at this location are generally shorter than other locations.
You can set up an online account and change your address online or you can write a letter to the Social Security Administration declaring that you're changing your address to that in Florida and the father can sign it. If you are wanting to take over his account in Social Security then you need to go to the local office and fill out an application for representative payee and that will take care of all of his social security business through you.
