I was given some coins from my father and wanted to get a quick idea of their value, so I contacted Joe at Beantown Coins and he got back to me right away and asked me to send some photos. Joe was very helpful in explaining the value of my coins and helped me in my decision whether to sell or keep for now. I plan to contact him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone needing info on coins.

Extremely polite and informative. If you have a question about your coins these guys are great!

Sold some coins here during COVID. Joe provided a contactless sale, fast, easy, efficient, money in my account in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend doing business here. Very fair price- much better than what I was offered elsewhere.

Took my call. Wasn't available. Knows his stuff. I'd definitely recommend! Edit to clarify- Shop owner was out of town at a trade show. While he wasn't available in his office/shop, he did make time to talk and was able to tell me what I had via description over the phone. That he was willing to offer assistance over the phone..., AND that considering I was just looking to offload some silver/coins and he was willing to help, earn this store 5 stars. Stand up guy in my opinion!

Not currently circulating currency. Only currency that has been removed as legal tender
We sure do. Be sure to call us and we'll be happy to set an appointment.
I'm not sure which of our pictures you are referencing. The US made large cents up until the 1850s. Our Google listing shows a pile of coins with a penny from Great Britain as well.
Unless it's completely rust-free and spot-free, the answer is not much. Typically found in such a condition, circulated examples are worth well under $1 each. If it's bright 'white' and uncirculated, maybe $20. Once they reach spectacular (MS-65 Gem) condition they begin to be worth over $100. Those examples that are among the finest known, can be worth more than $1000.
Hi Bruce. NGC and PCGS often run grading specials for new customers that can make it very inexpensive to grade your first few coins. If your timing is good you may not pay much more than shipping. Keep in mind that 1969-s cents may not be worth sending in unless they're superb brilliant uncirculated examples. Let us know if we can help any further
Yes. We buy coins from all over the world. The only exceptions are coins from countries with trade embargos from the US.
I sell them for about $5 each and buy them just over face value at about $2
