Bit Bar has always been one of my favorite places, but yesterday was the first time I was able to visit their new space. It was incredible! The layout is spacious, the patio is lovely and the food was soooo good. 1) Elk Burger. 2) Loaded Tetris Tots. 3) Pulled Pork Plate. 4) Ecto Chaser. Not pictured is the utter bliss on my face when all of this came out to the table. 🤤 Totally recommend! Come for the delicious food and stay for the games (or vice versa).

Bit Bar is a place in Salem I always try to bring friends to, it’s a favorite of mine! So the best part is that not only is it such a cool idea for a themed restaurant, and fun to have arcade to play while inside, the STAFF working here has always been amazing. Even before their move to the new location. The bartenders are so fun to watch make the signature cocktails, everyone gets to dress to their personality, and are all unique friendly servers. My friends and I have always enjoyed our bevvs! ^_^ Last time I got to go to bit bar, they had the Hercules Pinball machine, which is one of my favorite pinball machines ever! Thank you all to the owner and staff for all your efforts, and definitely please stay open after pandemic hard times! I would be heartbroken without this places food, drinks, and games. Ps: the only thing I’ve yet to try is their Karaoke night! Which they advertise on social media weekly for. Hopefully soon I can make it!

This place was cool to check out for sure. Being in our late 30's, The games truly reminded us of our teenage years. Playing games with actual quarters instead of cards. Like all these new age arcades, was very nostalgic. They had some great classics. Also a very good beer selection, my Lady loved every mixed drink and the titles of them, and the staff was cool to talk with. The ice hockey game rip this off for a few bucks and wouldn't work, but I won't hold that against them.

Got a sneak peek tonight at the new Bit Bar location in downtown Salem. Really like the new space and additional games. Was sad to see no qubert - one of my personal favorites. But it will be in rotation so I will be back to find it. Space at the location is great. Nice big bar and lots of space. More video games and now there is skee ball and air hockey. Waitstaff was great, even on this "preview" night. Sometimes things can be bumpy the first couple of nights. There is plenty of the old staff mixed in with some new staff. All super nice and knowledgeable. Food was slightly improved. But it's not great. It's ok to snack on something but much of the food is frozen. Bit bar if you are reading. Been visiting your restaurant since you opened. Love the games and fun atmosphere!! But so much of the food is frozen. And it really is too bad cause if you made even the burgers and a few things by scratch it would make this place incredible. If I could get a fresh (not frozen patty burger) made for dinner; me and the family would be in there weekly dropping money on food, games and drinks. Extra star for having: 1- gluten free chicken fingers! Yum!! I still do wish they made their own - honestly its not that hard- but for frozen chicken fingers they were really good. 2 - dedicated gluten free fryer!!!! Big bonus for this!! It is a total treat to have to not worry about having fries that have been cooked in the oil that gluten has been cooked in. All in all love it here! Will be coming back often.

Yup, Bit Bar has a full bar with local beer and sprits, great cocktails, full food as well as kids menu, and over 30 classic arcade and pinball machines. Hours vary by season, but all ages are always welcome until 8pm at which point entry becomes 21+.
Perfect timing... It pucks up after 7
As Eric said, it sure can! You can get many of your questions answered at http://bit.bar/private-events/ and also contact the General Manager to set up your awesome private event at Bit Bar!
They are having a Karaoke event starting at 8pm. There is no cover charge.
Mid-August, so keep your eye on your Facebook feed for exact date!
Enhanced sanitizing procedures have been implemented throughout the restaurant and games. Dividers have been erected between each set of tables. Also recently installed UV air sanitizing technology in the HVAC system.
We just went yesterday and we're given about an hour and a half window to eat and then were able to go in and play games
Video Games cost just .25 to play. Pinball is .75 to $1. Games take either quarters or tokens. You can purchase tokens from your bartender/server on your credit card.
No but you don't need them
Great question! We do have the original TMNT, but not Time Crisis. For shooters we are running Area 51 / Maximum Force, and new as of this week, Carnevil!
