They gave me a fresh start for the time I was there. 3 meals a day and a warm bed at night π short term assistance for some. Long term for others. Follow the rules and you won't have a problem... good luck everyone π

They do a good job with providing help for those in need. And rumor has it their food Is better then alot of the local restaurants.

What an amazing place for those in need of the basic necessities of life. They also have essential life-skill programs to rebuild ones self-worth and guidance too spiritually connecting your relationship with JESUS. They openly provide to the community on many needed levels; from food, clothing and a free health clinic. The City Mission of Schenectady practices what they preach. I've volunteered here and it gives me a sense of purpose that I'm giving back to my fellow human in their time of need. This is GODS place!!!π

Hi Darlene! Yes, we did have a dinner last night - I'm sorry we weren't able to respond in time! We currently have to-go dinners available at our Dining Center (512 Smith Street in Schenectady) Monday - Saturday 4:30pm - 5:30pm. We also have bagged lunches available 24/7 at our Welcome Center (427 Hamilton Street in Schenectady). If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact our team at (518) 346-2275. Thank you!
Hi Mabel! We would be happy to accept the rags to be recycled. Please put them in a bag and label the bag "Rags" (this will help our team when sorting through the donations). You may drop them off at any of our Red Donation box locations at www.citymission.com/donate/clothing. Thank you for thinking of us!
Hi Merlin! While we recently hosted a pop-up vaccination clinic at City Mission, we do not schedule the vaccination appointments and we are not a regular vaccination site. To learn more about vaccination sites near you, please visit https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/ Thanks!

I just called them before I answer this. They told me Wednesday Christmas Day at noon
I am going it's for sure, and I do believe Schenectady City Mission does every year, unless Mr Mike lost interest in that.
Yes, they must do because receive 2 days or one ride cards from cdta.
They give you a tray to take with you ,if you ask them.
The curfew at TCM is 10pm.if you arrive after 10 you will be subject to a breathalyzer test. If you fail and you have a bed..you will have to sleep in the day room for three nights. If you don't have a bed you will be asked to leave the mission until the next morning.
You should be able to go to the administration building on Hamilton st. for special volunteer.
If we have a bed available at the Family Life Center, then we will. You can call and find out.
There is a men's shelter and a family life center for women.
The City Mission is a place of refuge for ALL that are heavy burdened.
